Alba Botanica Intense Hydration Body Oil, with Kukui Nut and Viamin E, 8.5 Oz (Packaging May Vary)

Item arrived quickly and with no issues. It was taped closed so thankfully no spillage. The oil is very hydrating and makes my skin very soft. It doesn’t have much of a smell and is a your typical transparent color of oil. I have noticed that with the daily usage over a week that my feet have become very soft.

I ordered this because I ran out of my usual lavender almond oil and because it is now height of summer and I have been spending a lot of time outside in the pool and sun tanning, I wanted something more tropical and a little more kick for soothing my sunned skin. A lot of sun products seem to contain Kukui oil... not sure why other than it is a tropical ingredient? I had purchased an after sun lotion on a trip t Florida a number of years ago from the stand by the hotel pool, after I got a sunburn on my first day :( I really loved the fragrance although I have had to stop using this lotion because as nice as it smells it always seems to flare up my eczema very badly. Anyway, this led me to search for other products that may have the same ingredients that give the lotion its distinctly tropical scent and being that the bottle says kukui oil I was like...word- when I found this. This doesn't really smell like the lotion but it does smell really good and in fact smells exactly like my Maui Babe Browning Lotion- which ALSO contains kukui oil. Now I know. The best way I can describe it.. (and I am NOT sure how "baby oil" is interpreted from the smell of this oil) is instant coffee. I always feel like I smell like Folgers instant coffee crystals after I have used my browning lotion and sometimes question if that is what the brown tint is in the formula lolol apparently the scent is from the kukui oil. It smells, to me, very tropical. Like a coconutty coffee concoction. The oil is a little thicker than my lavender oil which is perfect because I needed something stronger for being in my pool and stuff. It goes on nicely, smells great with a very light scent that is not strong or perfumy. A little goes a long way and the bottle arrived extra super wrapped with a protective film over the lid to prevent accidental spillage or leakage in shipping which I appreciated. It leaves my skin very soft and smooth. Because I have been spending so much time out in the heat, sun, humidity, sweating, wearing bug spray and sunscreen and sitting in chlorinated water and being perpetually wet from the hose and stuff my eczema is doing its usual beginning of summer weather reaction to all this and I flared up like crazy all over my thighs and arms last week. It is getting under control now but feel like this oil did NOT irritate my flare up at all and actually soothed it so that is a huge bonus. Straight coconut oil is my go-to normally but it was getting too greasy so now I have this.

I needed a new oil, as I was really getting sick of the current one I have. I have tried a few products from Alba and I really liked them. I came across this and was excited to try it. Let me start off with the things I like about it. First off, the price point is awesome in my book, you get 8.5 oz ! The scent of this product is amazing, I have never smelled something quite like this before. It's very subtle yet fresh, and awakening. The oils literally soaks into your skin, there is no harsh rubbing, or gliding over it numerous time. Your skin literally eats it up. Lovely smell for the summer time. Now, the things I was not too found about that made me knock off a star. 1. the bottle was in a clear plastic bag, somewhat like a zip lock. When you opened the cap, there was no protective white circle. I dont know if this is how they come.. or this was previously opened. 2. is the bottle this product is in. I tried to take this product to work with me, and throw it in my work bag, thank goodness I pulled the bottle back out because it was leaking everywhere! The cap does not clip down tightly, it leaves a little bit of room to allow the product to leak out. This is extremely wasteful and not thought out well. Besides the two downsides, I am really loving this product, this may be my new go to product. The scent is light enough where I might be able to get away with it during other season. Very happy.

Alba Botanica Intense Hydration Body Oil is an excellent product. I add just a few drops to my bath, and it leaves my skin feeling smooth, deeply hydrated, and comfortable without being greasy. The hydration lasts, and my skin looks healthy and maintains a youthful appearance. A little goes a long way, and I’ve been very happy with the results. This is my forth time purchasing this product.

After I shower, I always do my face skincare prior to putting moisturizer all over my body. So, I was looking for a body oil to apply right after my shower, so my body felt at least a little moisturized during the 10-15 minutes I was doing skincare. For reference, the skin all over my body is on the slightly drier side and I have very mild eczema. I use a few drops for each section of my body while my skin is still damp. I find it smooths over pretty easily, but I’m still conscious to not rub or tug too hard. I then put on a soft robe on which helps the oil to soak in and trap moisture into my skin while I do other things until I can put on body lotion. Overall, I do feel like this does a great job at making my skin feel softer and more hydrated, especially now that the colder months are here. There are only 2 things I don’t like about this product: 1) the scent is more like cocoa butter which I don’t like and usually avoid in products. I guess I was hoping for a more coconut/tropical scent. 2) I feel like this may have caused me to breakout just a little bit—like a pimple here or there on my back or arms. After I apply my lotion, I feel to need to apply a body acne spray. I’m going to try using slightly lesser oil going forward to alleviate the problem as well.

Really lovely emollient, it works very well after a shower...keeps the moisture in the skin. It's main ingredient is sunflower oil, it's a good ingredient, but I wouldn't mind it having more nut oil to justify the kukui oil title. I like the richness of it, it's not a light oil, but does sink into the skin quite quickly. It smells delicious, rather like mild German gingerbread biscuits, very edible! My cats also love the smell and taste of it :) There are also no nasty ingredients in it to cause problems, so I'm happy.

Es muy bueno, súper hidratante, se absorbe rápidamente y no da la sensación de grasiento. Lo utiliza mi chico que al tener pelos, no le gusta las cremas y con esto esta súper contento.

Dieses Öl riecht sehr gut ist angenehm zu tragen, es ist nicht ölig auf der Haut, was ich persönlich nicht so mag. Die Verpackung könnte fester sein, die Ware rutschte fast durch.Auch die Ware an sich ein bisschen besser umwickelt.

結構とろみが強いですが保湿力はかなり高いです。他のオイルとブレンドして使ってます。香りは女性には評判がいいですが、メンズがつけるには甘すぎる感は若干あります。
