Great Book
I use this book with students. It is a great book because it allows students to take the (1) different feels they have learned (straight-ahead/swing/half-time shuffle/funk), (2) riding systems (quarter notes, 8th notes, syncopation, 16th notes [alternating and one-handed]), (3) time signatures (4/4, 6/8, 7/8), and (4) fills/rhythms - and apply them in to relatively short solos.
