Mr. Brog Churchwarden - Argo Tobacco Pipe - Model No: 16 Tabor Pecan - Pear Wood Roots - Hand Made

I love this pipe! I have had many churchwarden pipes over the years, and this one is among my favourites. It is nicely balanced, hefty, has a solid and deep bowl, and it is well styled. It is well bored, so it pulls smoothly and cleans easily. It's super convenient that it separates into three parts for cleaning or for travel. The bowl is at a perfect angle for smoking comfortably, and the stem is a good length to cool the smoke. The filter goes into the mouthpiece instead of the bottom of the stem, and I actually am finding that I like that better. An excellent buy at that price. It's cheap because it's not briar, but it is as good as or better than some more expensive pipes I've owned.

i have a good assortment of pipes. this is my first churchwarden, and i realy like it. it smokes very nice and cool. the bowl is a little bigger than im used to, but its not overly big. it seems to be built very well, and its realy nice to look at. it comes apart easily for cleaning, and goes back together easy. i will definitely be buying other mr. brog pipes in the future.

Update 7/4/2017 I'm lowering my rating from 5 ---> 3 stars for the following reasons. I've had this pipe for about 2 and a half months. I just went on vacation and took it with me. Unfortunately, I noticed a hole began to burn through the bowl about half way through my vacation. I was a bit surprised because I always used a soft flame lighter (no cigar torches). I didn't have another pipe, so I kept using this one since the hole was close to the top. That actually caused the hole to grow. I'm a bit disappointed because the pipe went bad so quick. I'm pretty new to pipe smoking, so maybe someone can let me know if this kind of stuff happens a lot. BUT: I still liked this pipe. It quickly became my favorite, and everything in my original review still stands. Just a bit disappointed about the quality. Haven't quite decided if I will order a new one to replace it yet. ++++++++++ I just received this pipe and love it already. I'm pretty new to pipes, so my knowledge is limited. I like the fact that this pipe breaks down into 3 pieces, which makes it nice to store and carry. The bowl is nicely sized. Fit and finish seem great so far. Draw is very nice and I did not have to relight! I did notice that the smoke was cooler than my other pipes, due no doubt to the length. I agree with another reviewer who liked placement of the filter near the mouthpiece rather than the bowl.

Smokes great! Looks beautiful! I had one minor problem, so I simply contacted Mr. Brog via email & they resolved the issue in a manner way above and beyond my expectations. Great pipe, great customer service! Mr. Brog really does care about it's customers as I have witnessed first hand. I am very excited to do business with this company again in the future!

My first pipe of this style and very impressed. I was pleasantly surprised at how different the quality of the smoke was with a longer stem. Obviously, not the easiest pipe to smoke while working in the shop, but it makes you take a break and sit for a few minutes.

I love the design and woodwork, and plan to get the same model if I can, but the pipe must have gotten wet -- the bowl came cracked deeply (about 1/4 inch separation at the top).

Excellent product. I've just smoked it and I'm happy to report it's one of the best pipes I've used. It was delivered ahead of time and in perfect condition. The quality of thepipe is excellent. The look and style of it are guaranteed to stir up a conversation and recieve much praise.

I should have known a pipe that cheap would be. The picture looks like the stem in wood, but it's all plastic. The pipe was hard to stay lit & had a weird taste while smoking it. I would stay away from Mr. Brog merchandise. It all very cheap. I bought a couple of his pipe accessories & had to rerun them. Pay more & get more.
