Eyebrow Gel, Blonde

This brow product functions similarly to ABH's Dipbrow Pomade and is considered a dupe for MUFE's Aquabrow, however unlike the other two, the NYX Eyebrow Gel performs just as nicely but only at a fraction of the price. Although it can be fickle and fairly difficult to work with, after a little practice -- and a lot of patience -- you can get really amazing, lasting eyebrows. I wouldn't recommend this to those of you that prefer soft/natural/barely-there eyebrows or makeup beginners -- since the product is very pigmented -- but for those of you more experienced with makeup (especially with these unforgiving gel type formulas) I would definitely urge you to try it out. The lasting power on this product is probably, most notably, the most impressive thing about it. I don't believe it's marketed as waterproof, but it performs otherwise. Between the hot summer months, outdoors, swimming, work and school, you can bet this product won't budge in the least. To further test this, I created three swatches on the back of my hand -- one of NYX, ABH, and MUFE -- and found that the NYX outlasted the other two by a longshot. If the longevity of your eyebrow makeup is a concern for you, then definitely try NYX. When it comes to the consistency of the formula, it dries fairly textured, so getting it to apply smoothly and seamlessly can be challenging, but not impossible. Personally, I like the texture -- however too much product, or drying between "coats" will yield results similar to spackle. The major issue is that it dries and sets quickly, so you need to seriously work fast. I like to take my sweet time to do my makeup, so this is probably the biggest issue for me. To say this product has a learning curve would be an understatement. You truly need to be patient and practice a little bit before you'll get the results you want. In fact, when I first used this product I had fairly mixed feelings about it -- the fickle formula and the fast drying time was a no-go for me, however after familiarizing myself with it a little, I found that it became easier to use. In the end I think the qualities of this product outshine the initial difficulties it may pose, and would definitely recommend it to eyebrow junkies out there or anyone looking for a killer brow that'll last all day. (Quick note about the color: I've only tried this in Brunette so I can't comment on the color selection overall, however brunette is a bit lighter and a smidge warmer than ABH Dipbrow in Dark Brown).

I was a bit skeptical of this product because of some of the ratings... But I am so glad I gave it a shot! I have extremely oily skin, and hair loss/alopecia due to severe PCOS. I have almost no eyebrows, and the portion I do have is very thin, so having to completely draw on eyebrows can be a struggle... I used my favorite primer (Thank Me Later is the name) with my eyebrow pencils (just some basic maybelline pencils from the drugstore) to draw the shape, then filled it in with this product... It looked wonderful. It is the exact shade I hoped it would be. A nice, deep brunette/brown color. After a long night out, I sadly ended up falling asleep with my makeup on... I just woke up a little over 14 hours since I put it on. My foundation is a bit shiny and would need some touching up, but my eyebrows are actually still MATTE...? Normally by now my eyebrows and entire “T zone” are super oily and shiny. But not my brows. Wow! They didn’t rub off at all, which is almost unheard of for me and the way I sleep. As other people mentioned, it does dry very quickly. I struggled a bit trying to apply it, as I’m not really used to using eyebrow gels like this. It can be “unforgiving” if you mess up... But it is easy to learn how to apply it, and it stays amazingly well, even on my frustratingly oily skin. It seems easiet to use a thin, straight edge eyebrow brush, patience, and small amounts of product at a time to apply it. I would highly recommend this to anyone; eyebrows or not, oily skin or not. I was really impressed with the NYX Eyebrow Gel, a little goes a looooong way. It takes a little practice to get it down because it's a little thick, however, the trick is to apply as little as possible on the angle brush. It drys fast, so I put a small dot on a card or something disposable, then put the lid on the tube. Just remember, less is more. I have dark brown hair and bought expresso. It's a great color, a little on the dark side for me just because my natural eyebrows aren't that dark, I was afraid the that the lighter colors might not look as natural, but I have yet to try a different color.

Very easy to use, makes great looking brows. The only down side is it dries extremely fast so you have to work very fast. If you make an error you cannot easily wipe it away to fix it. Practice is needed with using this, especially if your brows are like mine. (I have very thin spotty brows that I like to make thicker and fuller). But after a few uses you do get the hang of it. It does stay all day and is NOT easy to remove - which I like. No more worrying about smudging your brows. But you do need to use soap or makeup remover and some elbow grease to get it off. For anyone who is basically creating a brow with this and not just filling in this is great. If you have no brows (or really light brows) I would highly suggest this as it goes on very smoothly and stays in place. It also doesn't look super fake it actually looks quite nice. A little bit goes a long way. It is a small tube but you use a tiny drop for both brows so it will last you quite a long time. It comes in a nice variety of shades. I was hesitant to buy because my brows are an odd color that I normally cannot match. I bought the brunette and it matched perfectly. Usually brunette brow products are too red for my brows but that was not the problem with this.

Ottimo prodotto, si stende bene, si può mescolare con gli altri colori per raggiungere il colore perfetto anche perchè questo è un po' scuro per me. Economico e waterproof. Consegna Amazon precisa nei tempi come sempre.

Used this product for years it's fantastic - waterproof - Longwearing and will not smudge or budge. I pop it on the back of my hand (you only need a tiny ammount) and then appliy to the brow - I leave the front section of the brow and use a pencil for hair strokes for a natural look as this product can not be brushed through the brows like some products. I've seen a few people saying it's difficult to remove - yes if you use water as it is a waterproof product - however I use an oil baised product (litterly just a dab of hair oil will do) on a cotton bud and it comes off no issue! If you are struggling to use the product due to thickness I just dab my brush in a little of my ozzy leave in hair conditioner and it glides on lovely! It does dry fast because that's the nature of the product so if you are new to the product mayby lightly line the brow shape before applying. Looking at some of the reviews I'd say people arnt using the product correctly and don't understand how to remove these type of waterproof gells - It really is a brilliant product when used correctly!

amazing stuff! literally does not come off my face xD had showers and slept with it on my brows and its lasted. so cheap too. dont let it dry on any surface if your like me and squeeze it out then dab into it, it doesnt come off surfaces easily if dry. use make up remover cream to get it gone!

Hallo liebe Amazonier, zunächst einmal ein paar Worte zu meinem Typen: ich habe aschige, dunkelbraune Haare und sehr helle Haut, bin also der typische Wintertyp. Es gibt allerdings nichts was ich an mir mehr hasse, als balkige, viel zu dunkle oder farblich unpassende Augenbrauen. ;) Ich habe das NYX Gel in der Farbe "Espresso" bei einer Freundin ausprobiert und empfand diese Farbe für aschige Typen als viel zu "warm" - es ist zwar ein dunkles Braun, jedoch zu rotstichig. Auf gut Glück bestellte ich also das Gel in "Black" und... war hellauf begeistert! Zunächst einmal: obwohl der Name es sugerriert, handelt es sich NICHT um ein reines Schwarz! Es handelt sich eher um ein sehr dunkles, aschiges Braun. In den beigelegten Photos habe ich das Gel neben die Freedom Augenbrauen Pomaden in "Ash Brown" und "Granit" aufgetragen - daran kann man die Farbe recht gut erkennen. Dank dieser Farbe wirken die Augenbrauen auch im Blitzlicht nicht gräulich... obwohl sie zeitgleich aschig sind. Bevor ich meine Leidenschaft zu Pomaden/Gels entdeckt habe, habe ich meine Augenbrauen entweder mit Stiften, Augenbrauenpudern oder Lidschatten aufgefüllt. Das, womit ich ganz und gar nicht zufrieden war, ist die Haltbarkeit. Da ich einen Studentenjob in einer Bäckerei habe, bin ich viel Hitze ausgesetzt und komme jedes Mal wortwörtlich ins Schwitzen. Genau hier fängt das Problem mit all den aufgezählten Produkten an: sie schwimmen davon, verblassen innerhalb kürzester Zeit oder werden fleckig. Als ich die Freedom Pomaden ausprobiert habe (die als heißes Dupe zu den Anastasia Dip Brows gehandelt werden), war das Ergebnis zwar weitaus langlebiger, allerdings verschmieren die Pomaden sehr leicht, wenn man sich an Augenbrauen fasst. Bei dem NYX Gel ist das nicht der Fall! Ich habe ein Bild gemacht, wie sich die Produkte verhalten, wenn man sie nach einer Zeit mit Druck verreibt. Während die Pomaden sich haben verschmieren lassen, zeigt das NYX Gel sich unbeeindruckt. Es verblasst zwar minimal, schmiert jedoch so wenig, dass man es im Gesicht nicht sieht! Auch die versprochene Wischfestigkeit kann ich unterschreiben. Auf dem vierten Bild habe ich mit einem feuchten Makeup-Entferner-Tuch die Produkte "abgeschminkt". Das Gel steht noch, wenn die Pomaden sich schon verabschiedet haben. Die Wasserfestigkeit kann ich ebenfalls bestätigen - beispielsweise duschen ist mit dem Gel kein Problem, es bleibt an Ort und Stelle. Genauso verhält es sich mit Schweiß. Ein Abtupfen/Abwischen der Brauen macht dem Gel nichts aus. Meine Schichten dauern im Schnitt 6 Stunden und nach der Arbeit sehen meine Brauen dank dem Gel noch genauso gut aus wie davor ;) Der Auftrag ist leicht und schnell - den Dreh mit der richtigen Produktmenge hat man schnell raus. Was ich an dem Gel liebe ist, dass damit sowohl sehr natürliche als auch "Statement"-Brauen möglich sind. Es lässt sich ausgezeichnet verblenden und ist gleichzeitig so stark pigmentiert, dass man sogar mit einem abgewischten Pinsel im vorderen Teil der Braue sehr dezente Farbe auftragen kann, die eher wie ein "verdichtender Schatten" aussieht. Das Gel lässt sich sehr gut auftragen, besitzt eine homogene, cremige Konsistenz und neigt nicht zu Krümeln oder "Stückchen" in der Textur. Für den Alltag benutze ich das Gel folgendermaßen: ich zeichne mit einem dünnen, abgeschrägten Pinsel die untere Kante der Augenbrauen nach und blende mit demselben Pinsel diesen dünnen Strich hoch. Im vorderen Teil der Brauen gehe ich zusätlich mit einem Bürstchen (Spooly) drüber um die Farbe noch mehr auszudünnen. Sämtliche Farbe, welche beim Einarbeiten über die gewünschte Brauenkontur drübergeht lässt sich sehr leicht wegwischen - trotzdem muss man sich mit dem Korrigieren beeilen, da das Produkt schnell trocknet und sich dann nicht ohne weiteres entfernen lässt. Als kleiner Lifehack für diejenigen, die einen äußerst haltbaren Eyeliner suchen: Irgendwann bin ich auf die Idee gekommen, meinen Lidstrich mit dem Gel zu ziehen und siehe da - es funktioniert ausgezeichnet! Durch die bereits erwähnte Cremigkeit lassen sich Lidstriche und "Wings" leicht auftragen und halten am Auge ebenso gut wie auf den Brauen. Die Haltbarkeit dieser Lidstriche würde ich sogar als besser als bei dem 24H Gel Eyeliner von Maybelline einschätzen - erst nach langem, intensiven Reiben geht die Farbe ab, und auch dann bröckelt sie eher bevor sie verschmiert. Die Farbe gefällt mir bei NYX als Lidstrich besser als herkömmliches Schwarz, da sie zwar dunkel ist, jedoch nicht so harsch ist wie das typische Schwarz. Auf dem letzten Bild sieht man das Gel in Aktion - sowohl die Brauen als auch der Lidstrich sind mit ihm entstanden. Zu dem Zeitpunkt, an dem das Bild aufgenommen wurde, hatte ich es seit guten 7 Stunden im Gesicht. Alles in Allem bin ich aufrichtig begeistert von dem NYX Gel und bin sehr froh, dass ich mich von der Bezeichnung "Black" habe nicht abschrecken lassen. Es ist ein sehr haltbares Produkt, welches mich noch nie im Stich gelassen hat. Liebe Grüße Epona

I first found this eyebrow gel at a warehouse sale for $1 and decided to try it. I fell in LOVE with it! Since I started running out of the product, i tried looking for it in stores but could not find it so i looked for it online. The one i purchased here seems identical to the one i purchased from the warehouse sale. This gel is waterproof and seriously lasts all day and doesn't budge at all. It does dry pretty fast as you apply it but a trick i found is to use this after applying moisturizer on your face, because it makes the gel easier to work with and shape on the eyebrows before it dries up. The gel i used before lasted me two years before it started drying up and was too hard to squeeze out, but it's still worth the money.
