Pinnacle Mercantile Plastic Ice Bags 10 Lb. with Draw String Closure Pack 100

I bought these because I bought a new ice machine. They are very tough bags. The feature I like most is the drawstring at the top. So far, I have bagged several bags of ice and none of them have torn. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Very sturdy

I have a countertop ice maker but it isn't refrigerated so I need bags to store the ice in the freezer. The bags I've bought in the past were very thick which is helpful because when the ice is first put in the bag it's wet from the process so it sticks together when it's hard frozen. I usually give it a few taps with a meat tenderizing hammer to break it loose to add more ice. Unfortunately after a couple of uses the bag begins to tear so it has to be replaced. When I first got these bags I noticed they were very thin and thought they would probably not be very good. Boy was I wrong. I don't know what type of plastic these bags are made with but they're by far the toughest plastic bags I've ever seen. I've been reusing the first two bags for almost 3 weeks and they still aren't torn. I highly recommend them to anyone with an external ice maker.

Perfect size, quality is really good. We have used these for over a year now and they meet all expectations. We have not had any tears and they always do the job!

I was looking for reusable ice bags to fill for the boat. These seemed convenient with the drawstring so gave them a try. I have had no quality control issues as mentioned in several other reviews. All the bags I have used so far were fine. The listing does not specify mil thickness, but feels to be under 2 mils. These are not bags that will take a lot of abuse, but if careful handling and dropping to break up frozen ice, they have held up for several fills. By careful I mean not lifting/carrying by the drawstrings as they could rip the bag. For general household use, they should be fine. For abusive fishing boat use, they need to be thicker. Overall happy so far but will try a specified thicker bag next order. There are 2mil thick bags with drawstring available for about twice the price. If I can get more uses per bag, they will be worth the extra initial purchase price.

I store the bags in my freezer and use them for all general purpose and especially for outdoor and camping trips. The bags come with a long pull string to tighten the top and you're able to tie off the opening. Definitely a nice touch instead of having to tie the bag or use a twist tie. I definitely recommend these bags.
