The Complete Guide for CPP Examination Preparation

This book is an excellent supplement to the ASIS produced study material. Took my test today still have not received my results for whatever reason but several of the practice’s questions in this book appeared on the exam verbatim and that was worth the price in its self!

I just took the CPP exam today and this was the only 1 of 2 items I used to prepare for it. It takes everything from the thousands of pages from the ASIS manuals and put the most important parts into this book which is all you will need for the test! I HIGHLY recommend you study the chapters on lighting (especially the types of lights) and the chapter on alarm systems/locks. This book was perfect for the CPP exam.

I would not rely on this book as your only source for CPP exam prep, but the book did help me quite a bit. Everyone is looking for a shortcut and I have to report, there aren't any. There really is no substitute for reading the POA manual. Flash cards are helpful to supplement the reading. I would say this about the book, reading it after studying the POA manual helps to reinforce in summary fashion, the concepts presented. The self-exams are only helpful in demonstrating your comprehension of the subject matter of the book. The real exam test questions are not phrased the same way. It's better than not practicing at all. Is the book worth the money? Ask yourself this... how bad do you want to pass the exam? I'm glad I bought it and yes, I passed the exam with flying colors.

I studied this book and took the CPP exam in September 2021. The information is good, but out-dated and completely inadequate for the test. Additionally, none of the questions in this book appeared on the exam in any form. To prepare, you need to read the POA, published by ASIS.

I read this book cover to cover, twice. Has some good information in it. Completed the test portions and did well. However, I just took the CPP exam and this book did help me in the slightest bit. No subject matter covered in this book was preparation for the exam. If you’re only reason to purchase this book is to prepare for the CPP exam, do not waist your time or money.

Quite pertinent reference material with a very wide and broad coverage of the CPP topic. Although I am yet to sit for the exam, I am more than convinced the guide has prepared me and all other aspiring protection professionals in a great way.
