Holds my dnd maps. Easy to pull out the right map

Just what I ordered AND needed. A bit heavy to carry but will definitely serve my purpose.

I ordered this particular binder to hold several dozen pages I acquired of Sunday color comics from the era of World War I, when newsprint was infamously made in a way that turns it terribly brittle as it ages. When my binder arrived, I had a friend work with me to carefully separate the fragile pages and slip them into the pockets of these pages. When finished, I can now "turn" these pages to enjoy them and to show them to friends. I'm a lifelong journalist with a particular interest in promoting awareness of the history of American newspaper comics, so this is a real gem for me. Two tips: In the past, I have ordered products via the Gaylord Archival Store within Amazon. If you're looking at this product, you might want to look at those options as well before making a final decision. Gaylord is excellent in producing acid-free, truly archival materials. However, I could not find a Gaylor binder in the dimensions I needed for these 1916 pages from the Chicago Tribune. That's why I switched to this other company and I'm happy I did. The pages fit perfectly in this binder. And then: When this folder arrives, depending on what you want to save in these pages, you may want to think about other archival materials. In particular, I have white gloves from other archival work I've done. My friend and I both wore archival gloves as we moved the newspaper sheets into these pages. There are archival kits that come with pairs of gloves. Lint-free gloves also are available elsewhere on Amazon. But think about how you're going to handle your special materials that you want to put into this binder. Maybe you'll want to have some gloves hand yourself. Finally: I would not want to store this binder on its side. The pages tend to sag and could wrinkle. I've stored this binder flat on a shelf with other large-format books and binders. You also might want to think about where you will put this large folder once you have it.

I am painting a bunch of 12x16 watercolor pencil pages and had no storage for them. I don't have the space or money to frame them so I decided to store them neatly as a display book. This works great now that I have started loading it. At first the pages would go in but it was so tight the pages were not laying down and bowed into an arch. The weather was extremely cold that day and once I got the package warmer the pages began to relax. So the material does soften and relax when warmed. I thought the price was really nice. I have one of the art store brands that cost too much money and it is great but this is just as good at a better price. The pages are very clear and the colors are vibrant. The plastic is very durable and lay down as they should. I find it easy to flip through and view all the lovely pictures inside.

Great item! Plastic cover protects the clear sleeves well, making it great to use for art storage and protection. I was able to put more than one page of my 18 by 24in. sheets into each sleeve easily! The plastic sleeves inside are quite thin/flimsy so they slip without a stiffer piece of art in it (e.g. newsprint paper wouldn’t fair well in these unless it’s more than one sheet). Nonetheless, it was a great fit for multiple types of media (charcoal, India ink, pencil, etc.)!

When I first looked at this folder, the description mentioned it could hold posters. Unfortunately, it cannot. It's great for art projects or hand drawn items, but not for poster sizes. Originally, I wanted something to hold my old magazine posters from when I was a teen, to try and preserve. If it's small, then it worked. But only several got put in no problem, otherwise back to being folded up they went.
