“Premium” culinary matcha
Generally, if the region a matcha is grown in, and the cultivars used in it are mentioned, the quality is better! This does both! And if the color is a bright green instead of dull and chalky or yellowish, chances are the quality will follow. This is a bright ish green, but not as deep a green as ceremonial, showing some lower, older leaves, instead of all tips, are used. This is much cheaper than most ceremonial matcha, but slightly more expensive or the same per ounce for the most promoted culinary matchas. This matcha is definitely good enough to be used as an “everyday,” unadulterated, water only added, matcha. Slight not bad bitter notes. Grassy and sweet flavors. Mixes wellish, not as well as more expensive stone ground matcha. I’d say this is mostly first harvest, with perhaps some tips of second harvest. Ceremonial is typically all tips of first harvest, and painstakingly stone ground. (In Japan these classifications are not used. In olden days msg was added to nonorganic matches to enhance flavor.) Rishi does sell a ceremonial grade matcha in a tin I am looking forward to try! It is 50% more expensive than this, but still cheap for actual ceremonial grade, but both Rishi and Amazon appear to be out of it, but one hopes, will soon restock with the spring harvest! That said, never drink any matcha on an empty stomach. Savory or sweet food is always served before matcha in formal Japanese tea ceremonies, such as those taught in the Urasenke tradition. This is because full strength matcha, even of excellent quality, can turn your stomach, without anything in it. This matcha comes in a Mylar foil pouch in a can. Matcha degrades from exposure to air and humidity, so squeeze all the air out and tightly wrap with rubber band to keep it out, Keep refrigerated before first use, and when not using. In summer swoop it up as soon as possible after delivery and refrigerate, because heat degrades matcha too!

Great everyday matcha 😊🍵🍃
Excellent everyday matcha. Vibrancy of the powder is great and taste is a solid 8/10. Primarily I use it to make a matcha latte once a day or once every other day, will buy again. My recipe: Heat up 1oz water. My kettle has a green tea setting for 175° F. In a separate container I sift 2 grams of the matcha powder into a heat resistant glass cup. Adding in 1 oz of water I sift for a minute before adding and stiring 1/2 tsp maple syrup. Brand I use is Coombs Family Farms pure maple syrup, it has a robust taste. In glass of choice I combine 4oz organic unsweetened Califa almond milk with 1oz Forager Organic dairy free plain unsweetened creamer. I add the matcha mix to my dairy free milk. Stir with a handheld electric mixer and add one or two ice cubes and enjoy. By itself the matcha has a fresh, earthy, slightly bitter, and astringent taste. The taste is mellowed out with the dairy free milk and maple syrup. I've tried honey and before that blending dried dates but it didn't taste as well to me. Main goal was to mellow out the slight bitter taste and astringentcy. Not adding a ton of sugar just a slight sweetness and it works well.

A great choice for matcha lattes at home!
Reliable, vibrant, and tasty. It’s a step above your average grocery store matcha but remains affordable for daily use. This is the perfect 'everyday' matcha. If you’re looking for something to make cafe-quality lattes at home without the ceremonial-grade price tag, this is it. It has a very clean finish and doesn't leave that chalky or overly bitter aftertaste that cheaper powders often do.

Smooth, Vibrant, and Worth Every Sip 🍵
This matcha is a solid 10/10. It’s high-quality, with a rich, vibrant green color, fresh aroma, and smooth taste that gives a clean, energizing buzz — without the crash you get from coffee. It’s also reasonably priced, which makes it an even better find. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic, premium matcha.

Great matcha for the price
This matcha powder is truly exceptional. The flavor profile is quite pleasing, offering a delightful taste experience. I particularly appreciate the detailed information provided on the packaging. The inclusion of caffeine content and L-theanine is a valuable and informative addition. Love this matcha.

Very nice - well done growers
This is a wonderful matcha. It has a bright color and when you open it you can really smell how fresh it is. While the tin it comes in is small, there is enough matcha present for about a dozen drinks. I have found that of you use 1 tsp, whisked into a foam with about 2 oz of 175F water, then pour it into a cup and top with milk, it makes a very light and refreshing matcha latte. If you aren't a huge fan of the vegetal flavor of ceremonial matcha, then this is a great alternative. It also works very well as a cake topper if you mix 0.5 tsp matcha with 0.5 tsp powdered sugar and top a vanilla pound cake. If you make sure to keep the matcha in the bag it comes in and simply fold it down to store it into the tin it also lasts quite a while without loosing flavor or oxidizing (turning brown) even if you don't use it everyday.

Everyday Matcha!
I have tried a few ceremonial grades and lesser grade matchas but this one is really good. The color is bright and it froths nicely. The price is right too(I can get it at my grocery store for less) and the taste is yummy! I make mine with honey, vanilla, milk and a little cream. I enjoy this matcha as a relaxing treat that helps me focus and chill. This is my "Everyday Matcha"

Great flavor
Great color, and amazing taste! Out of all the affordable matches this one I keep coming back to. Shipping takes a while so I always order in advance. Smells good.
