Legends of Incense, Herb, and Oil Magic: Esoteric Students' Handbook of Legendary Formulas and Facts [Lewis de Claremont, Catherine Yronwode, catherine yronwode, S. Quinlan, S. Quinlan] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Legends of Incense, Herb, and Oil Magic: Esoteric Students' Handbook of Legendary Formulas and Facts Review: Nice little piece of hoodoo history. - I really enjoyed this book. Mainly for its historic place in hoodoo history. When it was first published it was certainly one of a kind and very informative. It isn't a big book of recipes but does have just enough to be useful. Review: Perfect repro of a 1936 classic - Legends of Incense, Herb, and Oil Magic treated me to a gentle morning spent stepping back to 1930s occultism. With fascinating tidbits, odd illustrations, and a "world overview of magic" vibe, this book introduced its original readers to the use of early commercial conjure preparations. Well edited and a step up from the 1966 reprint, make sure to read the editor's afterword on the mystery of author Lewis de Claremont.

Nice little book
Nice little book. Wasn't sure what to expect, but I do like it. This copy is a revised edition of the 1936 occult classic. I remember seeing this book in every occult shop I would venture into - yet for some reason never purchase it. It teaches old hoodoo/folk magic and the information offered in this work lays the foundation to today's hoodoo or root-worker. Classic for anyone's library.
