We used these for old fashions at Christmas and everyone at the party commented on them. They take at least half a day to form to a solid so buy multiple if you need them quickly. They are clearly ornaments when removed from the mold. While sometimes difficult to remove, running the mold under warm water facilitated it. It emits easy to fill and doesn’t spill once placed in the freezer.

Makes a nice sized cube, with a cute design. Great for a stocking stuffer, hostess gift, gift exchange.

I love making special ice for cocktails, especially around the holidays - these are a fun addition to my collection, the designs are cute and festive! However, the ice is tricky to release from the mold so they don't always work as a full ornament ice ball with a clear design. Patience is key when working with these suckers! Definitely some warm water helps them release, just don't go so warm they melt and you can't see the design anymore. Good luck!

Did I need these? No. But This was an impulse buy I don't regret and am using them year round. I used hot water and they come out mostly clear. Be careful not to overfill as it can push up the seal as they freeze and cause freezer smells to seep in. Also be sure to thaw as instructed to pop them out, as too much tugging on the silicone will likely cause it to tear over time. I absolutely love these and recommend to add a little joy to your life.

Tovolo makes really good ice making products. This set is made very well with nice tight lids. The end result does look very similar to advertising photos. You ca barely tell the ornament design. Frustrating to remove ice from molds compared to other Tovolo product we own.

Works depending on what results will satisfy you. If you want spherical ice it does do that. Unfortunately you will not be getting a pretty, clear sphere. I tried regular water, filtered water and distilled water. I tried boiling and double boiling. I tried insulating the bottom and sides to force top down freezing. Every sphere had cloudiness and/or cracks. Once you put the sphere in a drink, the snowflake and tree images melt quickly but, the sphere itself does last. So, if looks aren’t important, go for it. If you really want spherical ice I would suggest saving some money and just buy an all silicone mold with no image.

Bought as a Xmas present for my brother who hosts cocktail nights. Really well received. The quality of the products is really high and the finished ice pieces they make are there own works of art. Yes there's a price tag to this. So whilst not perhaps your every day ice tray. Really great for special occasions
