Is the spring grip very strong? & w/ rectangular swiss not square?

The spring is sturdy, but you can actually lock the mechanism in place using the red knob. In the photos, it seems to show using the red knob to rotate the grip. While you can do that (once the grip is locked) it will only rotate in one direction. I find it easier to just rotate the grip directly.

iPhone 13 pro compatible?

Yes, it is compatible with iPhone 13 pro.

Will it sit well into an Arca type tripod receiver?

It should mount on any tripod with a quarter inch mounting screw.

Is there a way to tilt it to the sky for astro phtography ?

This mount by itself does not tilt. To angle the phone so the camera is pointing up to the sky, put the mount on a good ball head that is on top of a good tripod. Any good ball head should allow a full tilt.
