I’ve been using these for a week now, but I would like to add my two cents after reading the other reviews. The containers come with a small sheet that lets you calculate how much you need to eat. With your actual weight number, you add some numbers and multiply it with another to figure out how many calories you should be consuming to lose weight. From there, you see a graph on the sheet provided and find out which column you belong to. And now you know how many greens, reds, oranges.... you need to eat per day. It is absolutely not difficult. Also, you can download an app called “21 day fix” that will do it for you. I’ve been using that app to help me keep track of what I eat. That app also gives you an idea of how much is each container. For example, two eggs is equivalent to one red portion. Or half of banana is the equivalent of one portion of the fruit container, so you don’t necessarily need to cut it up. Now from my experience. I really like it so far. I was really scared when I first saw the containers because they looked so small, but you will be surprised how much food they fit! I realize now I was overeating carbs and not eating enough fruit. It also puts in perspective how much oil I should really have. I think I was also under eating at times. So now with this program my food amounts stay the same daily. Also without the containers I use to feel free to serve myself more when I wanted to. Now I don’t do that. I actually meal prepped and so when it’s time for me to eat I just take out a perfectly portioned meal for me.

These are nice, they measure portions for you. Each lid is marked with the corresponding food. Easy to clean. I've learned they do not do well with liquid. They will leak. Best used with solid food only. They seem durable so far and I use them every day. Not bad for the price.

I have been using a version of these portion control containers for about 14 months. Now, the first set I borrowed, the second set were given to me as a gift and this set I bought for my Mom. I love these containers. They helped me lose over 30 pounds and keep it off for over a year. I use these containers in combination with the app on my phone that lets me enter in how many containers I had at each meal and it gives me a list of what foods go with each container. This set also comes with a brochure that has that information- I just prefer using the app on my phone. I was a little nervous that these wouldn’t be the same quality- but they are perfect! The lids fit tight and are not hard to open- there’s even a little notch where you can grip the lid to open it (instead of an extra long corner to help you open). I prefer this design. I also like that the food title is etched on the top of each of the lids so you remember what the color means. One thing to note on my set is the purple container says vegetables and the green says fruit (so they’re reversed) -but, no big deal- they are the same size. And just remember that green is for your leafy green vegetables. I’m very happy with this set and I think my Mom will be very pleased and they’ll be easy for her to use. I’m glad I got them.

I absolutely love these containers. The chart that comes with them, giving the foods and portion sizes according to your weight loss goals is so helpful. The colored containers have each food group etched on them, so no hassles trying to remember what goes where. I have been using them since I purchased them and wanted to give it sometime before writing this review and I have to say, keeping my food portions within the suggested amounts has already helped me to lose three pounds. It was a real eye opener for me to see how much I was over eating, especially foods such as meats and carbs. And of course, NOT eating enough fruits and vegetables! I highly recommend these containers for helping those who wish to achieve weight loss (like me) or anyone who needs some storage containers for traveling, or lunch packs. I will always have a use for them!

In theory these are great, but realistically I found it hard to measure out everything that I am cooking for a meal into these especially since I am not just cooking for myself. I then thought about measuring out things I cooked in large quantities when I finished cooking, but found that it's not that practical to de-construct everything I'm going to eat into these containers or carry them around with me. If you can commit to doing that then I'm sure these will work great for you. If you meal prep these may work better. It's all about learning the appropriate amounts of what to consume each day. I just find that with working 40+ hrs a week and having a long commute to and from work, these were not the most practical for my lifestyle.

Containers are nice. But you have to text the seller to receive pdf files.

The item was ok. Comes with small pamphlet 2 pages total no online PDF info or body tracker info. For price value isn’t there.
