I usually hold off on reviews until I’ve used something for a while, but this one got me right out of the box. The packaging is surprisingly nice, wrapped in branded tissue paper that makes it feel like a step above the usual stuff. The mat itself is true to color (I got black). Normcore’s mat is thick and solid, good food-grade silicone with zero plastic smell. It’s heavy enough to protect the counter from hard tamping, and the bottom has real grip so it doesn’t slide around. It’s smaller than some of the bigger mats out there, but it fits my spot perfectly and still gives plenty of room for the portafilter and tamper. You can find cheaper options, but this one just looks and feels better made. If you’re thinking about picking one up for your setup, I’d say go for it. No complaints here. I hope this helps!

There are a lot of mats out there that do relatively the same thing, but the quality, color, materials, and size are ideal. The mat is capable of taking a lot of abuse and keeps coming back for more. It fits tightly over the end of the counter so there is little worry about damage to the counter. Easily cleaned with soap and water. Excellent addition to ones coffee-tea collection or anything that you have to have to protect the counter surface. I will say, and although I haven't proven it, nor will I tend to prove it, you shouldn't cut on it. It is meant to use primarily for coffee-tea preparations. Which is fine, that's what I use it for. After using it for some time, I can say I wish it was larger or cover a large surface area. It is heavy enough to 'stay in place' during normal everyday use. Having one will definitely aid in your coffee-tea experience, make cleaning up quicker and easier, and if you're into that, looks good. It works

Great but I thought it’s bigger

This is a great tamping mat. I like that it's flat with a slight texture and love the turndown at the leading edge that helps keep it in place and protects the edge of the countertop. It's held up superbly. I've had it for two years, and it's still in new condition.

Have been using it for a couple of months now, and proven it to be of good quality. No rubber/plastic scent when opened. Dirt doesn't absorb into it, so it's easy to clean. It doesn't slide off the edge easily even if it's placed on a glossy granite surface.

Lo volvería a a comprar 20 veces. El material se siente de altísima calidad. Facil de limpiar. No se mueve. Proporciona muy buen soporte. Me gusta la limpieza visual que ofrece al no tener espacios preasignados.

Not sure it needs to cost so much, but it IS nice. A good thickness to reduce noise to almost none, the grip texture is natural rather than a repetitive pattern, and I have no feeling that it could tear, dispite the inner corner.
