It's perfect for what I need. It arrived unmanaged and wrapped in plastic. One of the lid claps is crooked, but is still functional. The lid is a perfect fit and is aligned correctly. The wood is unfinished so it will need a light sanding before painting. It's a light weight box and sturdy all around. It's a great buy.

I just received this beautiful box from Amazon and it exceeded all my expectations. This box is well made and lid fits perfectly flinch and aligned with the box base. There are no blemishes inside or out (see photos). The dimensions are as specified 13.8 x 9.9 x 7.7 inches. The bare wood is smooth with no splinters. It is sturdy enough for my needs of hold up to 15 pounds of items. For the price of $27 , I found this to be a good deal because I priced other boxes this size online and did not find anything like this box for the price I paid. I thought about making a pine box myself but after seeing the prices for pine wood and hinges and latches at Home Depot in Los Angeles, it turned out to be more money than I paid for this box. I highly recommend this box.

I bought this as an equipment storage case, no intention to decorate or finish it. What I received is accurately made, no imperfections worth mentioning. It doesn't have a cheap look at all. Yeah, I suppose the material is a little thin, might split if dropped.

I looked high and low for a box with a storage height tall enough to accommodate my 4oz essential oil bottles and keep the light out. This was the only (semi-affordable) option I could find. And it was a second try. The previous box I got maybe fibbed on the dimensions in their description. Anyway, it's a lot bigger than I needed, but that's fine. One of the hinges in back is semi-broken. I think some pliers may fix it. Fingers crossed. I didn't see any cracks or un-glued edges, etc. Basic wood box. Which is what I wanted. Smells nice. Definitely a few steps up from a plastic storage container. I plan on staining it. Some day.

Wood is a little thin, but they are well built. A little wood stain and it looks great.

The quality was decent. Not high end or anything, but it worked well enough to respectfully bury our cat. RIP kitty.

I bought this unfinished wooden box for my son, who is a passionate amateur geologist/hoarder. He painted it with all the creative flair of a sugar-rushed Picasso—lots of glitter, googly eyes, and a suspicious amount of dinosaurs. It now looks like a prehistoric treasure chest… and smells vaguely like acrylic paint and ambition. It’s sturdy, holds his “special rocks” (a.k.a. driveway gravel and one suspiciously shiny chunk of asphalt), and keeps them out from under my couch cushions. Win-win. Highly recommend for kids, collectors, and anyone tired of finding pebbles in the washing machine. 10/10—would buy again, especially if he starts collecting twigs next.

Way bigger than I thought and really spacious. The outside is really well sanded and is pretty sturdy. The hardware it comes with is pretty good too for the size of the box.
