Faucet RP34357 Victorian Tub Spout with Pull-Up Diverter, Chrome,0.5

This Delta tub spout was a perfect, easy replacement for my old one. It matches perfectly and works well. My only minor gripe is the finish could be slightly more durable. Overall, solid!

I removed the tub spout in my guest bathroom to inspect a leak and when I attempted to reinstall it, the threaded, plastic inner collar broke. Needless to say, the spout was rendered inoperable and the tub useless. To add to the problem, I had guests coming to visit in just over a week and nowhere for them to shower. Initially I sought a replacement at my local Home Depot. To my dismay, they only carried one style of Delta replacement tub spout and it did not match my other fixtures. I was told they could order the style I wanted, but it would be two weeks before they would have it in stock. Not knowing what else to do, I searched Amazon on the off-chance they sold tub spouts. Not only did I find tub spouts, but I found the exact replacement for the one I had broken. With my Amazon Prime, I had it in my hands in 2 days. The installation was quick and easy and my guests were not inconvenienced. The lesson learned? Check Amazon first. For EVERYTHING.

It's a bit cheep feeling with the chrome like plastic, but it fit the same connector as the more expensive version that broke and I didnt have to call a plumber.

I am replacing an old model squarish Delta spout with one that is much more stylish. I originally tried to use a Kingston Brass Restoration spout, but the pipe adapter and screw threads were so much different, I gave up on that and instead used this Delta spout. Installation was a breeze, just unscrew the old spout and then screw on this new one. This spout looks great and gives the appearance of chrome plated metal, but its really just plastic. Noting some other review of this spout which cracked, I made sure I didn't tighten down too hard and when I use the diverter I don't use a lot of pressure, just to be safe.

I was concerned the brass piece that threads onto the house plumbing might be different than the original. It was exact fit and was easy to install. Glad with purchase and speed of delivery.

I had to replace the same one after 15 years. It looked as lovely as ever but had been damaged by a careless person. I was so happy to know that I could still purchase the same spout.

This is the second time I have replace this particular tub spout. This one was cheaper than the one I ordered directly from Delta, but it is plastic, so maybe that is why. The original one was metal.

Replaced a delta brand so installation was less than 5 minutes with no tools. Look great. Works as it should.

We would have had to open up a wall in the bathroom if we had to replace with any spout we could find in town, it was great to find the exact one we had online.

Like others have reported, these spouts tend to eventually (within 3 to 7 years) leak. This leak is evidenced by water trickling down at the backside of the spout, (where the spout meets the wall). The leak is not because of the O-ring on the threaded nipple, but rather it's caused by the nylon/plastic threaded insert within the spout itself, becoming worn out. So don't waste your time or money replacing the threaded nipple unless you can clearly see that the O-ring is damaged. It's the spout that's the source of the problem. But with that said, I knew this spout was "non-metallic" (i.e. plastic) so no surprise there. When it arrived I just unscrewed the old spout and screwed on this new spout and no more dribble/leak. It looks good and it's grossly overpriced. Not much more to add.
