Best book I read last year

This book does what it says on the tin! I thought the previous version, Crucial Confrontations, was powerful, but this latest edition surpasses it by a country mile! Whether you are a senior leader, a supervisor, an employee, husband or wife, or mum or dad, this book provides a simple step by step approach to speaking up to others when they let you down. It starts by helping us refute the belief we often have that we simply cannot speak up to some people, or that it's just not worth it...and then offer practical tools that hold our hand through the journey we must take to effectively speak up to others....and in doing so, make our lives less stressful, and far more rewarding and successful.

I though the information and content was great; a solid complementary book to Crucial Conversations (one of my favs). However, I feel it could have been half the length and just as valuable. Fluffed out a lot, and skimmed some sections. Worth the read!

This is a great read for helping you in a work space, especially in handling tough situations and controlling emotions so it doesnt become worse. It really helps your understanding on communication as well as instructing you how to respond and accept your responsibility in problems.
