Get In My Swamp: An Ogre Love Story

First time reader! I love Shrek as much as the next person and of course, the perv in me love love loves erotica! This book hit the damn spot! It was sexy, sweet, hilarious and shocking at times! I devoured this entire book in a few short hours, I couldn’t put it down! I’m absolutely ravenous for the next book! Please never ever stop writing this series!

Romantic and weird. Haha! It’s great. It was a TikTok recommendation and it was a good one. A quick read as well.

“I’m the only ogre in my community. It can be rather lonely being the only seven-foot, green, hilarious, and gut-wrenchingly handsome creature around, but it’s a cross I bear.” Okay, so this was brought up while in a group of other readers and it went like this: Person 1: Hey, have you read that Shrek romance book? Person 2: No. But I know someone who probably has, Kristia - have you read this one? Well, at that time no, but now I have. And damn, it was actually pretty solid! I was laughing out loud at times. And while yes, this is basically Shrek fanfic, once I was hooked into the story, I had to remind myself that Donny the centaur was Donkey, and other silly things like that. I will absolutely be continuing with the series. There is currently a waitlist at my library for the next book.

I am BEAMING over this very green 5 star review!! Earlier this year, a well-rounded Booktok influencer recommended this book, their only “critique” was that it wasn’t long enough, they wanted more!! And after chomping this story down in one sitting, I get it, I really do because DANG this was an expected hit!!! To be fair, we get a follow up with the sequel, so I’m pumped to read their story go on. BUT let’s jump back in the swamp, shall we? Despite the most foundational part of the story clearly being inspired by a dreamworks movie, Beck and Liona didn’t feel carbon copy from the film and I’m so grateful. There were little references and Easter eggs but that’s where the buck stopped. Beck is THAT MONSTER💋 imposing yet protective and tender. And I love that Liona is represented as curvy! And let’s get to spice, shall we? Tbh I think this was my first monster romance and honestly I LOVED it. His primal, feral need to claim her had me squealing and cheering them on. And I champion our FMC for using her assets to her advantage!! It was paced well, dishing out generous spice without over saturating the plot. There were a couple of surprises I sure as heck wasn’t anticipating but just added to the plot. Overall it’s a very green 5 stars for me because I look forward to revisiting my marshy Florida swamp soon💚🌷💋✨

No no this book was fun at the beginning, and towards the end of it I start getting the feeling that the writing changed a little, and it became a little bit less of the adult and more portly written like this is an ogre and somehow he has a chiseled jaw. Somehow she can fit him in her mouth like he is in a monster I’m very confused.

Cute story. I love the twist on Shrek to Beck and Fiona to Liona lol. I gave it three stats because a lot of things weren't explained, it just skipped to them liking each other, jumping each other's bones, and then falling for each other. It disnt give me enough details at points. The plot twist in the middle was WILD. I highly recommend reading this book for yourself. This book was funny as heck.

The seller was amazing, my package got stolen the first time. So they sent me a second one. This book was suppose to be a joke as a mothers day gift from my husband. I'm an avid reader. And loved reading it. I couldn't put it down. The story was interesting. The smutt was tasteful. I got the second book coming. And will be getting the third one too! Love that the author used G M Fairy as a pen name.

When I was young I used to have this recurring dream about an ogre approaching me in the forest and offering me his hand. The instant our fingers touched I always awoke- sweaty and out of breath. I pondered over this for years. I knew ogres and I were connected- but I didn’t know why or how. I had numerous therapists tell me it was just a dream but I knew in my heart it was more than that. When this book came out I immediately knew I needed to read it. I devoured every page trying to learn as much about ogres as I could. I felt connected to Beck specifically. As I read the pages it was like a magnet drawing me in. Mid way through the book it hit me. I got up from the couch and wandered to my full length mirror. My mom always told me I was Italian. That’s how she explained my “olive” complexion. But I had never seen anyone with green skin like mine around the small town I lived in. My abnormal height and muscular build she attributed to my fathers side of the family- conveniently she couldn’t remember who he was. The more I looked the more it clicked. I ran to my mom and begged her to tell me the truth. I told her I already knew. Finally she admitted it to me. I’ll never forget the day my mother told me what her real name was after hiding it for so long. Liona. I am forever thankful to the author of this book for helping me find the truth. I will update this review once I’m able to track down Beck and let you all know how the reunion goes.

Great book, just wished it was longer and had more to the story. Otherwise great book if your wanting something that gets to the point and a quick read.

I mean it's funny as hell. Just do the impulsive thing for once and buy it.

Acheté parce qu'avec une copine, on est fan de l'univers Shrek (elle s'appelle Fiona haha) Bon, l'histoire est pas incroyable, elle dessert plus les scènes hot que l'inverse, mais c'est sympa à lire quand on aime shrek et le smut. J'ai lu des passages à mes potes, c'était très drôle de s'imaginer tout ça.

Been wanting to get into reading spicy books, I’ve brought some naff ones in the past and I only brought this one as a “joke” for my church of Shrek Facebook group but ended up loving the book so much that I’ve brought the second one and thinking about buying the rest of this authors books. If you love spicy books this is definitely for you, I feel as if the author knows what booktok girlies like and shows a sort of realism mixed in with empowerment of women in this book. There’s also very great twists, some I didn’t expect! I’ve never been so hooked on a book before
