Durable and reliable IF overcharge and discharge is controlled. Use ONLY with a solar regulator to protect the battery (a low cost precaution available from AMAZON). Also, if used for lighting independent of the grid and dependent on illumination requirement, use a photocell to decide when the current is needed AND have a digital timer (also available from AMAZON) to program turn-on and turn-off times so the battery is used efficiently. FINALLY, use at least a 150 watt solar input panel to provide daytime recharge.
