This Tea is Awesome, I used to consistently have trouble falling asleep, but after drinking this tea, I usually fall asleep within about 15 minutes!!

Nighty Night Extra is what you want when you want to help yourself fall into a peaceful sleep. The magic ingredient is valarian; with other herbs to help you relax. But you should know the smell of true valarian plant is like 'stinky feet' - it isn't a tea you'd want to have brewing on a romantic evening! My husband can't tolerate the smell; honestly; like stinky feet; but for me? I put a little saucer on top of the teacup to keep the 'fragrance' away - and drink it down after it's steeped a good 5 minutes - drink it like a shot of tequila! Just before bedtime - and It Works. This is the reason one would drink this - for it's medicinal effects not for any other reason. There are no aftereffects; such as grogginess with other sleep supplements - You must steep it in order to get the right strength of tea for it to work. I have used over the years; many non medical sleep supplements; and I find this really does work. Not to be used for children.

I drink this before bedtime and it’s relaxing and helps me fall asleep. Taste is not bad at all!

Best sleepy tea ever! I have insomnia. I have a hard time getting my brain to shut off and fall asleep. I have a hard time staying asleep and not being woken up by sounds. And then a hard time falling back to sleep. Not anymore with two of these tea bags! I fall asleep within 10 minutes or so of laying my head on the pillow and I’m out! I sleep hard unless I wake up to pee only once (or some times not at all!) until morning. Which is a huge deal for me, I used to wake up three or more times a night. And if I do wake up to use the restroom then I pass right back out when I get back into bed. This stuff is a literal miracle!

I purchased the Traditional Medicinals Nighty Night Extra with Valerian Root, hoping for some noticeable relaxation benefits before bed. The tea itself has an earthy, calming taste, which I didn't mind. However, after drinking it nightly for a week, I personally didn't feel any impact on my ability to relax or fall asleep. The quality of the tea seems good, but the effectiveness was minimal for me. It might work for others, but it wasn't the strong aid I was hoping for.
