2nd one of these cameras ive purchased. For the $25 price point, its the best quality camera you can get by a LARGE margin. and keep in mind all of my praise is with consideration for that price point. Video quality is pretty good. I think the resolution is 720p, but im not 100% on that. either way, its clear enough to read most license plates. It does have a good overwrite function where after filling up the SD card, it starts deleting the oldest files that you haven't locked so it can keep recording indefinitely. Speaking of, it does have a video lock (or Save) function. where if something happened that you wanted to permanently save, you can do so in the included app. so no worries about it being deleted. The included app is simple, and user friendly as well. not much else to say there. The only con i could really give it is that it doesn't seem to work with voice commands. but it doesn't advertise that so i cant knock it. Quickstart note: 1. Understand this camera works by being plugged into a usb connection from an ANDROID based head unit. 2. after plugging it in, you will need to navigate to your head units file manager. 3. in there, you will look for a 2nd storage drive. (that 2nd storage drive is the cameras INTERNAL memory. NOT THE SD CARD) 4. inside that 2nd storage drive, you will find afew files, and one ".APK" file called something to the effect of "CameraDVR" 5. Click on that APK file to install the needed app to your android head unit. 6. the App will populate in your main app drawer like any other. after that, the camera is functioning and recording assuming you have an SD card installed in the side of the dashcam itself. Bonus tip: After installing an SD card, if the app is still saying no card installed, you will need to format the SD card on a desktop computer to the "ExFat" format. hope this helps.

Bought an Eonon FDMX6S head unit for my older F150 truck. I saw this dashcam and, as it was the same brand and seemed like price, I purchased it. The camera itself seems to work fine. It's not super high definition but does an adequate job of recording in 3-minute loops on the SD card (which you have to provide yourself and insert into the camera). However, the Android app - HD Car DVD - that they supply with the camera is extremely buggy. A couple weeks after I installed my head unit and camera, the camera app started randomly going full screen on the Android screen. I would then close the dashcam screen and a minute later it would come on again. Then it started becoming even more troublesome in that it would rapidly go full screen, disappear, and cause the Android display to rapidly blink. I turned the dashcam off in order to be able to use Android Auto and other features of the head unit. Have emailed support asking if there is a better dashcam app to use and have not heard back. This is a clear example of "you get what you pay for." I should have purchased a better dashcam that, I assume, would come with a better app and support if there were any issues.

Only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is it requires a USB port as opposed to the additional RCA connection available on my Eonon head unit. Even with my using the back-up camera with an OEM style tailgate handle camera.

It's clear does what it's supposed to do it plugged right into my Eonon GMX6S-PRO head unit video is clear $25 will spread of course had a shipped with prime. 1-16-26 Str8Tattedup
