We bought this steam vacuum when our son started solids and it is now one of our favorite devices in the home! It makes clean up after meals SO easy! No matter what he throws onto our hardwood floors - milk, water, pasta, rice, soup, cheese, berries, yogurt, etc. - this Shark Steam Pickup sucks it ALL right up! We use it and clean it out after every meal. Cleaning is super easy we just rinse it in the sink. This vacuum is basically our replacement “dog” that we don’t have to feed, train, or let out to go to the bathroom! ;) Added bonus: - I love that it uses Steam to clean and doesn’t require any added chemicals / cleaning solutions since our son is crawling around on the floor. - I also appreciate that it comes with a little stand to store it in and to dry the roller to keep your storage area neat/clean and avoid any mildew growth on the roller. My only real con of this item is that it doesn’t do super great on corners/right against the wall. But that’s a factor for any vacuum type device so I don’t think it’s worth taking a star away. I also wish it was cordless which I know is an option. Maybe we’ll upgrade someday!

Best cleaning product for hard (non wood) floors! I’ve been on my hands and knees cleaning since moving to a new house that has 12x12 hard tile in the kitchen! The grout is not flush with the tile and uneven and if one of my three little geriatric dogs would pee a bit off the pee pad the grout would just wick it up and it would go and go! It was terrible! Then I finally discovered this 3 in 1! I never wanted the regular type of steam mop that just pushes out steam with the grout being deep in some areas I needed something that actually would suck up the extra pee or moisture that got down there! This thing is amazing!! The roller goes fast all the time, not just when you manually are pushing/moving it around in normal vacuuming movements. The dirt or debris is deposited in a clear container inside the mop head, which you just pull out, tap in the trashcan and then rinse. The roller also just pulls out and can be rinsed and set to dry. It does take a day or two for it to dry, which has never been an issue for me, but if you use it more often, then you may wanna have a back up of the roller. I do see some people reviewed that it does not push out a lot of steam, I feel the steam is pretty good maybe not as good as a steam only mop but for this being a 301 I think it works well also, the instructions do recommend plugging it in, setting the steam setting (low or high) And letting it warm up for 30 seconds. So maybe people are just plugging it in and pushing right away?

But actually, the brush roll is still dirty. I tried to take off the brush roll from the machine and washed it with water and soap. by my hands. The water turned to black. I had to wash it more than 2 times to get it clean😫 ___The steaming can help the floor kill bacteria, BUT it can affect the floor’s grout, causing damage, especially if the grout is unsealed or if high-pressure steam is used. It also can cause these floors to expand, leading to cupping (where the edges of title rise), crowning (where the center of title rises), buckling, or even cracking. >>>>>After I used the machine, my floor has cupping and crowing, and my grouts are damaged (the grouts are broken and there are small holes in long grout strips)😤>>>> Ants from the outside go in these holes to my house 😡. THEREFORE, I returned it to get my refund.

I left this video as a testament to just how well this unit cleans. My fiancé left fabuloso on the floor over three weeks ago and you can see it foaming up as I clean the floor. The upsides to this unit is that if you leave it in a space for roughly 20 seconds it will clean it completely. If things have been caked on for months and months this unit will clean it if you pass over in a small space. I found it to be better than the steam and scrub unit because it doesn’t redistribute your filth across the floor depending on whether you’ve changed the pads are not. The downsides are that the catch tray for the water is really tiny and you will change it many times on your first cleaning (I changed mine 35 - 40 times) . You will also want to order extra brush rolls as you cycle through your rollers as you clean. Overall I thought the product functioned really well for the price point. It is my suspicion that it is poorly constructed and will probably break and no less than three years but I hope that if it lasts 1 to 2 years that it will be worth the money. If you’re looking for some thing stellar that scratches every itch of your cleaning fetish this may not be the product for you because you’ll have to work a little harder to get your result, but if you’re budget conscious like myself, I found the best value in this machine and a little extra Work for the price point is well worth it as my floors are spotless, I get clear water in the tray now and my floors have never looked cleaner. It’s a good product, know that you’re getting something cheap and flimsy but it does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

Lightweight, easy to assemble, easy to operate and clean. Well made and works great. Steams up the floor quickly, uses water only, no harsh chemicals needed to sanitize my wood floors. Perfect for a home with many pets. Highly recommended. I purchased the ‘good used’ one, I received an unused without the original box. It came with all the pieces and instructions. Very happy with the money I saved!

I really wanted to love this. It might work well for a spot cleaner, especially if you have small children. But not good for regular cleaning. The brush does not really "self clean" as described. So, it just pushes the mess around if you do more than just a spot clean. If you do clean every time, which I tried, you find it is less practical that one would assume. Because it vacuums and steams at same time, the dirt tray is wet, meaning you cannot just dump into trash (it sticks) so you have to rinse the tray to get dirt out. And rinsing that into you sink is not a good idea. I ended up cleaning with hose outside. A less than practical solution. It is smaller than expected. Yet the thick/high enough that is does not fit well under furniture. I'm swapping for a different type of shark steam mop, as I have been pleased with their products in the past.

Love that it steams and picks up what the vacuum missed. It heats up quickly, and is just so easy to maneuver and lightweight. I spray ahead of myself with my YL Thieves cleaner, to make everything come up quicker (can you say dog slobber and prints?) The head is narrower than many which I didn’t think I’d like, but makes it nice for getting under chairs, etc. Super easy to clean up after use. I want another for my vacation rental, because it doesn’t leave streaks behind and makes me think the floor is more sanitary.

My update March 2026 - purchase last year, and after using several times I see the performance not that good. It’s one thing that you need to make multiple passes to vacuum up debris - on a floor that was fully vacuumed first. Sorry to be disappointed with the Shark Steam Pickup, it has all the promise but the collection bin and the separate debris chambers are way too small. Very sorry about this, but have donated the Shark, it will have a new home. The Shark Steam Pickup Lightweight 3 in 1 steam mop was the best surprise - having looked at other models on Amazon that were over the top feature wise I chose this one. It is simple, exactly what was described. Functions like a real pro, super easy to maneuver and clean. The suction is not great but a few extra passes does the job. Plus, you will not believe how quiet it is when running - Shark has mastered tamed the sound barrier. I expect to get many years from my Shat, 3 in 1, was worth it. I highly recommend.
