The Artist's Way Starter Kit

It resonates with me more than anything I have read, and I love the tasks, prompts, reflection questions, and exercises that really make you think! I have written things I didn't know were bothering me, and I feel much more creative. I can see how much I have grown in such a short time. It's not a magical solution by any means, but if you really try it out and really trust in it, you will start seeing what it's like to feel ideas just flow through you when you're ready for them. It shows you how to truly be kind to yourself and trust the process, the path, the journey, for whatever you dream of.

I can't say enough good things about this book and journal combo. A friend and I decided to embark on this journey together and she gifted me this combo. The content is amazing and life-changing. It isn't easy but it is worth it. I wasn't sure if I really needed a journal for the Morning Pages, as I had been using notebooks prior to this but I loved the added reminders of quotes on the pages. I have since bought this combo for others. I highly recommend it!

The Artist’s Way kit is more than I was expecting. It is a 12-week program, but it offers much more than that; it’s a path to discovering your creative life. I have the kit, which includes the Morning Pages Journal, and I am loving it. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to expand their creativity, learn new skills, or unlock their inner child.

The artists way has really helped me with my outlook in my day to day and my life. I love that this set comes with the journal for you to write your morning pages on! And it’s big in size so you can get a lot out on there. It’s the perfect size in allowing me to write my 3 pages everyday. The book itself is amazing and inspirational and it’s a must read for all creatives in my opinion.

Good book and journal overall. The book itself contains a great and inspired system for encouraging artists to blossom and grow. The journal, however, is just ok; It has pertinent quotes and weekly advice that is nice. The biggest complaint is that it doesn't lie flat and is, therefore, not easy to write in. It would seem to me that a system that revolves primarily around writing in a journal would make it as easy as possible to actually write in said journal. Due to its construction and/or binding, the book is not easy to write in. In conclusion, it might be better to simply buy The Artist's Way book and skip the journal. Less headache that way. Just don't skip the book itself! That would be a mistake.

Excellent books. I love the way it is God centered and that creativeness is a gift and comes through Him, The Creator of all. For those who have issue with God, she does suggest you use whatever higher power you believe in. I, myself, believe in God and my savior Jesus. My only negative thing about the journal is that in week 2 of using the it, it has begun to fall apart. I am taping the loose pages in place as I notice them. I had a feeling this might happen from other reviews, but it did not deter me from giving this a go… it just prepared me to expect it and to remedy the issue as it arises. Yes, I recommend this/these books. Note… You really don’t need the journal, just get yourself a notebook or even use loose leaf paper for the morning pages. The journal helped me to just get it started.

Great for a 12 week Womens’ sharing circle. The prompted work on creativity, self understanding ,spirituality, along with the process of morning pages are important for all!!

This set is amazing! I completed the 12 week course and then started it all over again. The steps and tasks are easy to implement and fun too! I have even given it as a gift I love it so much.

This book, aimed to low-self esteemed creators, offers an evangelical-quacker perspective on semi-creative fake journeys. This “author” names unverified “success” cases that only work as a marketing tool for the gullible. The internalized homophobia is on every chapter. Horrible. If you want something like this for free just go google a mormon pastor and you’ll be receiving the exact same information. What an expensive joke this is. Returned.

I am grateful to have found this book. I am in week 9 of the 12 week course of this self development book for anyone creative. It has helped me through the last lockdown and my creative ideas and thoughts have expanded each week beyond my expectations. I have found my focus, my motivation and my creative energy to enjoy my textile art again. No longer do I CRAVE others to give me the positive feedback I needed. It has been challenging to do and I do not follow Julia’s religious beliefs so do not be put off by her use of them. So I am so pleased that I have successfully worked through and around all my barriers and still been true to my own belief. Good luck and enjoy your own journey.
