Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Complete Edition (Nintendo Switch)

Great buy for Sword Art Online enthusiasts, not available in the US for switch release so it was worth the price to purchase this version.

Wow, out of the games out there that are must avoid cash grabs based on animes, this game both looks and plays like a game by gamers for gamers and by fans for fans who have quite a collection of first and 3rd person shooters and who watched quite a few episodes of the anime. Taking place in the epic and awesome Gun Gale Online universe, gamers are treated with a although not excellent still great 3rd person shooter with first person shooter controls and rpg experince and leveling up elements in a VRMMO inspired setting. After creating your character, you'll see your character look with amazement at the SBC Glocken city environent like a child seeing a theme park for the first time, all with epic music playing. The upbeat intro song, especially near the end, also sounds great. I dislike the fact that the roll and duck button are always the same button, rather than rolling to avoid enemy attacks, it works best to instead sprint to avoid enemy attacks. Some gamers may find that right control stick x axis and y axis aiming and camera movement is too fast, fortunately that can be adjusted in camera setting, as can x axis and y axis settings for iron sights and even scope aiming, which is quite excellent. Although as is the case no matter the game, controller, or the device the game is for, there's times when the gyro aiming isn't as responsive or sensitive as it should be even with the the x axis and y axis settings set to the fastest speeds. However, this is one of the few Switch games with gyro aiming that actually has a reset camera button, this game's version of a gyro reset or center view button, useful when the gyro aiming isn't functioning as desired. This game also has some of the better options for gyro aiming out there, especially in comparison to some games with barely responsive or not responsive enough gyro aiming. For the main parts of the game including the quests, ammo has to be conserved and even ocassionally purchased, although I didn't find this to be a flaw in the game, this a difference gamers will want to consider that are used to games with ammo scattered throughout the levels or games like or similar to the Earth Defense Force games where there's unlimited ammo and all gamers had to do was reload. Those looking for a more Earth Defense Force like experince will appreciate the Party and Solo Hero Quests where gamers can select from a wide variety of characters from the show, ammo is unlimited and only reloading is necessary. I also found the Hero Quests to be one of the best parts of the game. Although you can't instantly use all weapons as soon as purchased and you'll pretty much be restricted to either of your Procycon SL fully automatic hand guns at first, fortunately these are effective starting weapons instead of weapons that seem like they exist to make the game difficult. It also gives the feeling that Gun Gale Online has a loyal and courageous community with a cast of characters that are all too glad to join you on a quest. The game gets more difficult by the time the 2nd area boss is encountered, this gives gamers all the more reason to level up their entire party by defeating enemies though in this great shooter rpg. Also, the game is nicely balanced in the way that although there is the mentioned necessity to conserve and purchase ammo, even if your entire party is defeated, you'll still keep all the experience and items earned from the quest. This game is an excellent use of the excellent Unreal Engine 4, Dimps did a great job of developing this game, and this game sets a standard of what anime shooters can and should be. Fans of the anime and or games of this genre should definitely check this one out.

Product came fast and in great condition. The game is incredibly fun with a lot of content to explore. I recommend this version of the game. All previous versions do not come with dlc, while this one has all expansions included.
