Cell-Active Curcumin Plus contains contains curcumin (from turmeric) and gingerols (from ginger root) - two polyphenolic compounds (natural chemicals found in many fruits, vegetables, and other plants) Liposomal curcumin more bioeffective.Research has shown that the bioavailability of curcumin is generally poor. Major reasons contributing to the low plasma and tissue levels of curcumin appear to be due to poor absorption, rapid metabolism, and rapid systemic elimination; and this has limited its therapeutic usefulness. Researchers have investigated the benefits of complexing curcumin with other substances to increase systemic bioavailability. The liposomal form of curcumin makes it significantly more bioeffective than ordinary curcumin.
