The long sling style bags were dangerous because they would always slide around and get in the way while I was riding. I tried a backpack style vertical mat bag, but I couldn't sit on my bike seat. I tried a backpack style horizontal yoga mat bag by Addidas, but the bag was super wide for my petite frame. Other yoga mat bags I found were very cheaply made and/or heavy. As you can tell, I tested MANY MANY MANY yoga mat bags and I am happy to share that I finally found a keeper! The size of the Kindfolk bag is perfect -- it's lightweight and has practical compartments. The adjustable straps at the bottom securely hold my mat in place with even distribution. Also, because the mat is exposed outside of the bag it gets aired out. The backpack style stays in place and is safe to use when riding my bike or walking (which is most important). Also, the Celestial pattern is cool because the multi jewel tones go with any mat color or outfit. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ but I bought it to ride my bike to yoga and it worked great. I am an average sized person (female size 8-10) and I tightened the straps most of the way down, so if you are smaller, it might be a little big. I love the fact that it distributes the mat weight evenly. Some of the backpacks I looked at had the mat on one side or the other in a vertical alignment which looked like a bothersome weight distribution.
