Just make sure you read the instructions about the speed and don’t push too hard. Let the drill bit do the work **Q: I have some large tiles I'm scared of cracking, any tips on how to drill through them without cracking them?** A: I drilled through the tiles in our bathroom. The drill bit pierced the tiles easily. Your tiles my be different, I don't know. Those drill bits are very good, just do not push too hard and cool the tip with cold water time to time. Good luck. **Q: For porcelain tiles are they effective in preventing cracks?** A: If you put a bit of sticky tape on and press firmly, but gently, I found no problem with them on porcelain tiles 😁 **Q: Although carbide, are these suitable for drilling in hard steel?** A: I just managed to drill 4 x 5mm holes in ceramic tiles before the bit burnt out. They get very hot when using on a ceramic tile, but they work. Keep the drill bit cool , by having a small container of water nearby. Dip the drill tip in the water to cool frequently . Do not use Hammer on your your electric drill. This will prolong the life of the bit. If you go gun hoe with no rest, then you will quickly blunt the drill . The drill won't last forever , but a good product and what I expected. If you opt to buy a more expensive set , don't expect them to last much longer. These work ok. I am giving these 5 stars , as the quality is as I expected . ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does what it's supposed to *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 21 June 2024* Does what it's supposed to, however I don't think that they will last so long as they don't feel as sturdy or well made as other brands I've used. Also the tip could do with more work, as it has a tendency to slide on the tile, which again other brands I have not noticed this with.
