That is a good question. There's actually a better way. You can install a standpipe to allow you to move the water source closer to the pump yet keep the same head pressure. To do this just install a T fitting at the 100 foot mark and raise a pipe up to match the water source height. Of you need more technical info please look up land to house stand pipe on you tube. There is a new video from 2019 that will help. **Q: With is the max diatance it can send water up? Does the bicycle tube need to be changed often?** A: The ram pump can lift water to a max height of 180 feet. This produces a lot of pressure at the pump with an input head pressure of 25 feet. The bicycle tube should not need to be changed. **Q: Are detailed instructions on how to set it up included?** A: Hello.
