On advice, I chewed (DGL pills don't work, you need to mix saliva with the tablet before swallowing) 3 with a slippery elm lozenge before each meal. I continue to take 2 Pepzin in the am. Along with Famodidine 2x20mg morning and night, my burn (peptic ulcer) quickly stopped and within 2 weeks no problem, per Endoscopy. I also no longer have any acid reflux. Doc says to stay on this regimen for a month then taper off the Famodidine and DGL to see what happens. Adjust as needed. I can't tell you how relieved I am. Remember that the Pepzin, DGL and Slippery Elm heal your stomach lining. The Famodidine is to reduce the acid.
