Just got done using them for the first time, about 400 miles round trip including bumpy uneven Indiana and Ohio roads. Never a problem, I checked them at gas or rest stops and never had to tighten the straps. I was using the ratchets attached to the front of the trailer, and I gave them about three ugga duggas when I tightened them, but they're short handles so it's nothing exceptional.
