The edge around the screen,was a good 1/8 inch or more which I feel help protect my screen. The really great thing about the case is that the hard plastic shell has a slight no slip grip to it which made the phone a lot easier to hold in my hand without slipping out. It didn't seem to be mentioned in the description of the product but is why I gave this case for stars. But because the hard plastic case has a weak spot just above the volume controls is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I feel this was a good purchase to protect my low-end smartphone, my first smartphone I must add. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not a perfect fit *by R***S on Reviewed in the United States on August 27, 2015* What I like about this case-it has a hard shell back and the power/volume buttons still work while the phone is inside the case.What I don't like-it's too big-the phone fits inside but it's not a perfect fit.
