Is it water resistant?** A: Yes. But, the primary use of this product is to protect the (usually) acrylic paint on a miniature from abrasion and handling. Water proofing isn’t generally a concern. If you are not intending to use this on gaming pieces, there is probably a better product for your specific use. **Q: are certain types of masks required while using this product?** A: When priming or varnishing anything you probably should wear a mask just to protect yourself, I only use one if I am spraying a lot of models otherwise I go without. However, after having had no trouble with any other varnishes over the years, I've found that this one created a level of clouding/frosting on my miniatures. It may have been user error, but the instructions were followed carefully.
