Well the magnet doesn't, but the steel plate you starch to your phone will keep your phone from connecting to the wireless charger. Both my Samsung S10 Ultra, and my Iphone X have the same issue. **Q: Is the tension on the pivot ball adjustable? (to compensate for heavy tablet or really bumpy roads)** A: Tension isn’t adjustable, comes from the factory very stiff. You HAVE to let the plate sit for a couple hours without attaching anything to it. Once it has set up for a bit stick the mount on it and go about your day, I have it in a pretty rough riding peterbilt doing oilfield work and have had no issues with it coming off. The magnet does it’s job however it will rip the adhesive tape right off from where you mount it. A little superglue let it dry for about 1520 minutes and it’s ready to go.
