When relief workers bring used clothing to the refugee camp, everyone scrambles to grab whatever they can. I challenge you to read this story to your kids without pausing to cry your eyes out. What a great story and the best way to teach them empathy. Was perfect for the classroom to wrap up Thanksgiving week- all the children were left speechless and thoughtful. What a different perspective for them to think about! It would make a great Christmas gift also.

Great way to teach kids empathy, sharing, and the challenges of war refugees. The more we create desperate nomads by continuing wars, the more our children need to know how fortunate they are to have a home and how destructive hatreds and prejudices can be to people just like themselves.
