My challenge however is that all the walls on the patio are either stucco or rock, which makes it near impossible to run a hidden power line. So I opted for this option and so far it works great. The battery camera are pretty good and the motion detection works as expected.This camera works great and is very responsive. The angle of recording is large enough to capture almost 180. Will purchase a second camera to cover our pool. It is great at capturing motion before anyone gets even close to the pool. Great when you have little ones or pets who somehow always find ways to go where they're not.The picture is beautiful - much better quality than I anticipated! In daylight the picture is full color but it even shows a clear picture in total darkness!As for the battery life, it has been in for a couple weeks and it has lost about 10% battery. So I’m guessing it will last about 3 months before it needs a charge. The second we will order should double that battery life.The connection is very quick, it seems to connect much faster than my front door, but in fairness it is closer to the wireless router.As for installation, I installed it using the provided screws into the frame of my patio door. It actually works perfect there because you can’t really see it and allows me to perfectly position it for motion detection.Beware, in order to have video playback, you do have to install Micro SD cardOverall, I’m very happy with the device and would recommend it to anyone looking for an easy to install solution without wires. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 18650 battery size *by R***2 on Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2018* I haven't put this camera up yet but it appears it will do the job. I will update later. One thing I discovered was that there are different 18650 battery lengths. I have these batteries in many applications and of course the ones I already had would not fit because they are too long by about 1mm. I found some other batteries in a flashlight that were shorter and they work. I could not get the battery cover on with the two batteries I originally tried. So watch out for that when putting batteries in. The Garberiel 5000mAh batteries are too long as they are a hair over 67mm. The batteries that came in my flashlight are a hair over 66mm and do not have a manufacturers name, only the name of the flashlight. That 1mm makes all the difference because there is no spring where the batteries live in the camera and consequently there is no take up room to accomodate a battery that is too long. I hope this helps someone. ### ⭐ Near impossible to connect - no motion triggers *by J***A on Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2018* Decided to gamble on an item that hadn't had any reviews, figure always has to be a first right?Received the 2 cameras, and they look pretty good at first appearance. Look a lot like an Arlo. The one positive is that the batteries I had to buy for these work in my high end LED flashlights, so I'll be using them and the charger with the lights.The cams are sadly going back. You have to download a doorbell app per the written instructions. So I did. Strangest pairing I've ever encountered, but was kinda cool. You turn cam on, and it starts verbally yapping about ready to be paired. You then hit add device on app, and the phone starts chirping in a high pitched morse code like sound. It literally uses sound to create the link. After 7 failure to link on one camera, and another 5 on the other... I got creative.I let them use the sounds to link up, which of course showed failure. I then however used the QR code on the cam to "share" the account... that asked for a password, of which I just typed admin. That failed, but in doing so triggered the cam onto the app, and asked me to create a longer password. So in theory, if you're willing to do some seriously wonky non intuitive stuff you can get them to link. Get good at it though...Both cameras just randomly reset and start yapping about being ready to connect again.
