In this study of deviant behavior, Kevin plays Earl Brooks, who is a successful and respected businessman, who lives in a beautiful house and is married to a devoted wife and also has a college age daughter. He also has another secret life which is being an intelligent and cunning psychopath who loves killing people at various times. William Hurt plays his realistic alter ego who is always encouraging Brooks to kill again and again. When he is seen doing one of his murders by a photographer it becomes a cat and mouse game. There is another twist in this story when Brooks finds out his college aged daughter may also take after her father (Like father like daughter) when it comes to killing people. Demi Moore plays a determined detective who knows she is after a dangerous psychopath, but never seems to nail him. What makes this movie so unique is that it shows clearly why psychopaths are so dangerous in a society. They are ruthless and cunning people who have absolutely no conscience when it comes to meeting their personal warped needs.
