I will probably buy more in the future. To cut to size for projects, you should definitely use similar methods of cutting any thick (but thinner than plexiglass) plastic. I did not have my tools with me so I just used a box cutter which worked just fine after a few slices and a little movement. I have a small office in a high school I notice less fatigue at the end of the day. My students really like them and a few who have had concussions commented how nice the lighting was and took off their sunglasses. I was glad I read the reviews to use a utility knife to cut. The panels are thicker but easy enough to cut. I placed the original panel from the light on top of the sky panel slide the utility knife along the edge. Be careful not to slice into your table,open up the cardboard box they came in as a buffer between panels and table.
