The original saddle was way too tall (due to neck angle) and too loose in the bridge. The new one was too thick and too tall (which I wanted) so I could trim it down to size to perfectly fit the bridge, lower the action, and intonate this guitar. It definitely had the smell of bone when sanding it down.
