But it's one of the most original concepts to come out of Hollywood in decades. Scarlet's portrayal of someone who becomes disconnected from human existence is excellent. The special effects are very much "acid trip" by intent because we are just this century beginning to understand the truly unlimited ability of a cell nucleus (read "Signature in the Cell").
