This innovative paint roller holds up to 22 oz. of paint directly in the handle reservoir to paint up to 70 square feet in one fill. This eliminates the need for messy and back-breaking roller trays that require constant bending and stooping to refill. The home painting tool also features battery powered technology, which is used to electronically draw paint directly into the handle and then feed it to your painted surface. You can also switch to the “Manual” setting to manually feed paint to the roller cover and paint your walls. The roller is perfect for medium-sized projects such as painting a bedroom, kitchen, living room and more. Plus, the extended handle lets you reach 8 ft. tall ceiling with ease, reducing the need for a ladder, stepstool or extension pole. It’s the perfect tool to have for your next home improvement project. From the Manufacturer The SMART Flow Roller saves you time and effort because it is faster than a traditional roller with less mess and provides an even finish from beginning to end. The roller's ergonomic design will reach ceilings and hard-to-reach places to get the job done without back-bending trips to the paint tray. Review: awesome item - For starters, I had this item a long time ago in a manual version, that was 15 years ago, this new version is awesome for my needs, I had redone my home interior with top quality paint, best I could buy at HD marquee, and rings end ceiling both very thick paint. I found using the included gallon cover did not fit properly and made more of a mess, and the unit could not draw paint, removing that and filling direct by inserting the included pickup, directly into the wand, and hovering in the can, it picked up paint as thick as Elmer's glue. I painted the entire ceilings in my kitchen, hall, living and dining rooms, about 550sf using 2 gallons, no dropcloths, and no furniture coverings and managed to get no paint on anything with the included shield attached. Each large room took less then an hour. Cleaning isn't so bad, about 35 min mostly in the roller. It does take a good pint to initially fill the tube, and that goes directly to prime the roller without any painting, so expect to fill it once to prime (with about 2in left in the tube) then refill and begin. Works perfectly. I also bought the trim cut in tool, highly recommended as well. Saved hours of brush cut in. Review: Works great but can be messy - I bought this paint roller because I was tired of having to constantly dip my roller in paint.Iwas also hoping that it would help me to paint faster. Thepaint roller worked great! It held a lot of paint and it was easy to use.Iwas able to paint my entire living room in no time. Theonly downside is that the paint roller is a little bit messy.Itcan be difficult to clean, and it can sometimes drip paint. Overall,I would definitely recommend this paint roller. It'sa great way to save time and energy when painting. Butbe careful, if you're not careful, you might end up painting yourself.Iknow I did! ## Features - INNOVATIVE PAINT ROLLER: The SMART Flow Roller holds up to 22 oz. of paint directly in the handle and provides long reach so you can transform your home faster and with less mess when compared to traditional paint rollers and brushes - BATTERY POWERED ROLLER: This painting tool is battery powered to provide further ease and efficiency when painting a home. Wallpaper paste is too thick for the small holes in the roller. **Q: Can you use oil based paints with this? I'm specifically using a mixture of 50% linseed oil and 50% pine tar** A: Oil based paints are fine in the Smart SideKick. We don't have any idea how pine tar will affect it, but it sounds like trouble. Clean immediately after use with mineral spirits. Good luck with your projects. Call for more help at 1-800-328-8251. **Q: Is the Roller cover assembly for sale ? I lost mine** A: Yes, Amazon lists several roller covers for the unit. Just be sure it's for "power" roller and specify desired nap length. **Q: Will this work well on an acoustic blown on ceiling?** A: The blown ceiling material can start walling off when it gets wet with spraying. Using a roller is going to make a mess, had a friend try that. It ended up as having to remove all the blown ceiling. Blown ceiling has a terrible bonding capability if wet at all. I have had some ceilings done in a commercial building and the painter used a fogging type sprayer with 2-3 coats, drying in between coats. Blown ceilings are only good for the builder! ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ awesome item *by P***O on March 19, 2021* For starters, I had this item a long time ago in a manual version, that was 15 years ago, this new version is awesome for my needs, I had redone my home interior with top quality paint, best I could buy at HD marquee, and rings end ceiling both very thick paint. It worked the first 2 days I painted the exterior and on the third it stopped. It is very very persnickety and quick to clog up. I’m working with thick exterior paint and it was often too much for the intake tube. Every time I wanted to fill the roller, I’d have to clean out the tube with water and a brush. This tripled my project time. Then the valve between the intake hole and the part of the roller that pushes the paint to the roller became clogged and poured paint out of the intake valve everywhere — on the ground, my feet, all of it. I tried to take it apart but that section of the roller doesn’t come apart, so now it’s officially useless. It was a huge mess, a time suck, and now I have a very expensive piece of trash. Don’t buy this. Go with the regular extended pole — learn from me; it’s faster. ## Frequently Bought Together - WAGNER 0530004 SMART Flow Paint Roller, 22 Oz Handle Capacity Paint Roller, Paint Power Roller, Power Paint Roller, WAGNER Paint Stick, Automatic Paint Roller - Wagner Spraytech 0155206K 155206 9inch-by-3/8-Inch Perforated Roller Cover for use with Wagner Smart Roller, Smart Flow Roller and Smart Sidekick Roller - Wagner Spraytech 0530000B Smart Edge Paint Roller, Paint Power Roller, Power Paint Roller, Wagner Paint Stick, Automatic Paint Roller, Auto Paint Roller, Power Roller Paint System --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/1141748-wagner-0530004-smart-flow-paint-roller-22-oz-handle-capacity](https://www.desertcart.at/products/1141748-wagner-0530004-smart-flow-paint-roller-22-oz-handle-capacity) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
