Metal ones tend to hold up much better. To the OP, you can see in the spec sheet below that the material is plastic (with metal finish options) and the country of origin is good ol' China...our new overlords. **Q: What is difference between s-2005-hb model and s-2005h model shower head?** A: I have the s-2005-hb, and I can only speak to the one I have. In looking them up online though, it looks as though the main difference is that the hb has a sort of lip around the shower head, whereas the h is a sleeker, unlipped model.
