Featuring a comfortable 45° prism angle and compatibility with standard 1.25" eyepieces, it delivers right-side-up, mirror-correct images, enhancing your daytime observation experience with durable StarBright XLT coatings and a reliable 2-year warranty. ## Description Did you know that most telescopes work well for daytime viewing as well as for astronomy? If you have a refractor or a catadioptric telescope (the Schmidt-Cassegrain is the most popular example), and you would like to use it for terrestrial observations, the most useful additional accessory you can buy is an erect-image diagonal. If you look through your telescope with the standard mirror or star diagonal installed, you will notice that objects may be either upside down, flipped so that you see a mirror image, or a combination of the two. This is fine for observations of celestial objects, but it can be a little confusing when you are trying to track a boat as it moves through the water, or an eagle as he flies towards his perch.Luckily, this is an easy problem to correct. Simply remove the standard diagonal from the telescope’s focuser or visual back, and install the Celestron 45º Erect Image Diagonal. Now, when you insert an eyepiece, objects will be right side up and left-to-right correct. The 45º angle of this Amici prism diagonal is very comfortable for daytime observations, where the telescope is often in a horizontal position. Please Note: Adding an erect-image diagonal to a Newtonian reflector will not result in images that are right side up and left-to-right correct. The optical design of a Newtonian will always produce images that are rotationally off in orientation. This does not mean that you can’t use a Newtonian reflector during the day, it just means that you have to get used to objects oriented in unrealistic positions. ## Features - A great accessory for daytime terrestrial viewing with your telescope - This 1.25” diagonal produces right side up and left-to-right correct images when used with refractors and catadioptric (Schmidt-Cassegrain) telescopes - Inserts into 1.25” focusers or visual backs; accepts standard 1.25” eyepieces - Package Weight: 136.08 grams ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0000665V4 | | Additional Features | Corrects image orientation for daytime terrestrial viewing | | Best Sellers Rank | #5 in Telescope Diagonals #71 in Telescope Refractors | | Brand | Celestron | | Built-In Media | 45-Degree Erect Image Diagonal | | Coating | StarBright XLT | | Compatible Devices | Eyepiece | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 out of 5 stars 435 Reviews | | Exit Pupil Diameter | 1.27 millimeters | | Eye Piece Lens Description | Prism | | Field Of View | 0.82 degrees | | Finderscope | Reflex | | Focal Length Description | 914.4 millimeters | | Focus Type | Manual Focus | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00050234941129 | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 4.53"D x 2.95"W x 2.36"H | | Item Highlight | For Refractors, SCTs, & Spotting Scopes, Upright Correct-Image Viewing, Comfortable Observing Day to Night, 1.25" Compatible | | Manufacturer | Celestron | | Manufacturer Part Number | 94112-A-CGL | | Model Name | Celestron 45-Degree Erect Diagonal (1.25-Inch) | | Model Number | 94112-A-CGL | | Mount | Tripod Mount | | Number of Items | 1 | | Power Source | Manual Operation | | Product Dimensions | 4.53"D x 2.95"W x 2.36"H | | Telescope Mount Description | Tripod Mount | | UPC | 050234941129 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | TWO-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY | | Zoom Ratio | 36 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Celestron - **Model Name:** Celestron 45-Degree Erect Diagonal (1.25-Inch) - **Eye Piece Lens Description:** Prism - **Objective Lens Diameter:** 1.25 Inches - **Telescope Mount Description:** Tripod Mount - **Product Dimensions:** 4.53"D x 2.95"W x 2.36"H - **Focus Type:** Manual Focus - **Power Source:** Manual Operation - **Finderscope:** Reflex - **Compatible Devices:** Eyepiece ## Images ![1.25" 45° Erect Image Diagonal – Accessory for Telescopes - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51uEfdOROAL.jpg) ## Frequently Bought Together - Celestron – 45-Degree Erect Image Diagonal – 1.25' – Use Your Astronomical Telescope for Daytime Terrestrial Viewing – Right-Side-Up & Correctly Oriented Images in Refractors & Schmidt-Cassegrains - Celestron – Zoom Eyepiece for Telescope – Versatile 8mm-24mm Zoom for Low Power and High Power Viewing – Works with Any Telescope That Accepts 1.25" Eyepieces - Celestron – Telescope Moon Filter – Eyepiece Accessory – Reduces Moon Glare and Enhances Lunar Crater Details – Great for Full Moon Observing – Works with Any Telescope That Accepts 1.25" Eyepieces --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/1158008-1-25-45-erect-image-diagonal-accessory-for-telescopes](https://www.desertcart.at/products/1158008-1-25-45-erect-image-diagonal-accessory-for-telescopes) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-10-11*
