Smooth clean action. We didn't try them on 22mm branches, so cannot say how they would actually fare with the maximum capacity, but worked nicely on smaller stuff. Can be used by smaller hands without problem. The thumb latch works for now, but only the future will say with any thumb latch. These have a 10 year warranty, so stay tuned for updates in the next 10 years. With the coated blades, they will likely last a long time.
