The handle that tightens the clamp is well back from the clamping surfaces, so you can tighten these clamps down with ease in those situations. Such an elegant solution to a vexing problem! Bessey makes quality clamps that are generally somewhat overpriced (in my opinion), so I usually have a hard time recommending them. But this is a truly innovative product, and Bessey is the only company I've seen offering them, so in this case, I'll make the exception. I highly recommend these clamps. You don't need a lot of them, but having a few of them in various sizes might just save you a few busted knuckles!

If you’re looking for a clamp that provides more knuckle space these are what your looking for. They do require 2 hands. Ever tried to use an F-clamp and found yourself smashing your fingers trying to tighten the clamp, because the twist handle was so close to a leg or side? Yeah, me too... These clamps completely eliminate that problem! The handle that tightens the clamp is well back from the clamping surfaces, so you can tighten these clamps down with ease in those situations. Such an elegant solution to a vexing problem! Bessey makes quality clamps that are generally somewhat overpriced (in my opinion), so I usually have a hard time recommending them. But this is a truly innovative product, and Bessey is the only company I've seen offering them, so in this case, I'll make the exception. I highly recommend these clamps. These are very well made and it’s a good thing that Amazon carries these as they are much more expensive at a big box store. If you’re looking for a clamp that provides more knuckle space these are what your looking for. They do require 2 hands. If I ever need more I wouldn’t hestitate to buy a couple more from Amazon.

When I opened the package the twist handles had fallen off the bars and I had to reinstall them. I have 10 others that were fine and these clamps work really well.
