There's no instructions or any illustrations so go slow because it may not make sense at first. I managed to pull the hard case part away from the soft leather(like) cover and had to work it back onto the plastic ring. The way it should go is to put the iPad into the hard cover while it is still attached to the soft one with the plastic ring at the back of the iPad so that it can rotate on the plastic ring. The soft cover then folds over the front of the iPad to close it and there's an elastic band you can use to fasten it closed. I liked getting the stylus and screen protector with it though it would have been nice to have some minimal instructions as well. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really nice solid protection for the iPad4 *by C***Y on Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2014* I love this cover, super cute and fun. There is nowhere to store the stylus so while that is really nice that they send it, I quickly discarded it. Also I could never get the screen cover to adhere properly so that went by they wayside as well. I've had it for about four months and it looks just like the day I got it. I love the elastic band that holds it closed. It seems like a quite solid protection for my iPad. This is my first tablet and so my first cover as well so I don't have any experience with any others but I really like this one. The one thing that I would like to see altered in the design is that inside there are three troughs meant to place the edge of the tablet to prop it. It is very nice to have three different choices for angles but I wish they were a little deeper. Sometimes I find that I have to choose a trough not based on what is the most comfortable angle for me to view the screen but what trough the table will actually stay in without sliding out. The entire inside is a soft felt material which I'm sure is mean to protect the screen but if the troughs were lined with a rubber or something not so slick, the pad might stay in place better. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It Is Perfect for a Second Generation iPad *by T***B on Reviewed in the United States on August 8, 2018* I absolutely love this cover for my iPad!
