How do i tighten it and make it stuper stiff and sturdy?** A: There's Hex screws at the top and bottom. Just tighten them with a Hex tool bit not too tight or it will be hard to collapse it. Other laptop stands looked too clumsy or would not slide under a keyboard.The first stand is used in my music studio. It slides easily under my midi keyboard and holds my laptop above. I also take it on the road when I'm dj'ing and it has held up great. The second stand is used for my business laptop (15" Macbook Pro) when I'm sitting at my high-top table. Having the laptop raised off of the table reduces shoulder/neck stress for me while I'm working.The entire unit folds flat for easy transport and comes with a zippered bag to protect it. Also included are a couple of plastic tie-wraps and a long piece of Velcro tape for either securing your laptop to the stand or securing the stand itself to whatever it's placed on. There's a small adjustable/removable middle shelf that I use for a digital recorder. I gig with this 4-6 times a week and it's annoying to have to put one on every time.
