**Q: Will this work for my ipod 40 gb model # a1040?**
A: Works for third generation iPods.

**Q: Is ok for 3rd generation 8 GB ?**
A: Don’t waste your money!

**Q: Does this work for the.3G nano**
A: I doubt it as it is too large to fit into a Nano.  This battery is almost as wide as the old iPods as it takes up about 50% of the internal space.

**Q: Does this include the pry tool?**
A: Not really, I believe it included small flat blade and Phillips screwdrivers. I used a pry tool from a previous battery replacement.
