**Q: do i need to get the extra mic with it or the built in one works just fine?**
A: The built in mic works fine. It is usually used in a quiet office setting but even outdoors the quality isn't bad.

**Q: Does this have a USB connnection?**
A: Yes. It can connect with computer through USB.

**Q: Can i set up the time to record**
A: No.  As far as I know there is no way to do that.

**Q: Can this device record while is charging ?**
A: It doesn't charge.  It has replaceable batteries.  I use mine every few weeks and have had it 2 years and have never had to change the batteries.
