Inserting these filters in the line-level audio feed from the scanners perfectly suppressed those tones. Review: Exactly what i needed - I have some combo speakers (tweets and mids in one) in my truck powered by one amp, and a huge sub running the low end. The output from my head unit only came out as one RCA pair and i split it into the two amps. Problem was my mids were clipping due to the bass coming through that amp and ruining them. These cleaned the audio right up ahead of the amplifier so now i have the lows going straight to my subs (with a lowpass filter on the amp) and these things connected to the combo amp.
