Given the lackluster reviews here, before going out on my first excursion with them I left them attached to my board (a Riviera 10'6) with some gear stuffed under the cords for several hours at home and even after several hours they were still holding fast. Went out for a two hour paddle with a dry bag and PFD stuffed underneath the cords and they held very well. After the paddle I picked up my board with the SUPthings still attached and my life jacket still stuffed underneath them, and carried the board about a hundred yards to my car. Even tipped sideways and loaded they continued to hold until I detached them.You do want your board to be clean and dry when you attach these, and I suspect they'll only work on a fiberglass/epoxy board because suction cups generally don't hold well on any surface with give or texture. I looked up a youtube from a shop that sells these and got a very useful tip: you have to press down on the center very firmly until you hear a slight "pop" or click - that sound is a sign that the suction cups are fully attached. I didn't hear that sound for every cup every time I attach these but most of them produced that sound and even the ones that didn't held well if I pushed down very firmly on the center of the cup. They come off very easily when you lift on the little release tab. They're a great removable option for stowing stuff on an epoxy/fiberglass board. I still clip everything I'm stowing under them to something that floats just to be safe (an empty milk jug) just in case they do detach - I don't want my stuff sinking to the bottom. We'll see how they hold up long term but they work great so far. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Your board needs to be smooth *by T***Y on Reviewed in the United States on July 25, 2016* This product works exactly as described. My SUP is made of TuffLite epoxy and has a smooth surface. I cleaned the area where the suctions cups were going to go with glass cleaner and then dried it thoroughly. The suction cups sealed completely when I pressed them firmly. I was able to lift the board itself by the bungee cord (see the attached photo). It is a very strong hold. The cord is durable and it has a good synch to keep it tight. You should only buy this product if you're planning to attach the suction cups to a completely smooth surface. Any texture will affect the suction cups' ability to grip fully and it won't work. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty good *by M***E on Reviewed in the United States on August 13, 2016* It's been doing alright. I have put quite a bit in the bungee and haven't had too many issues. I have one suction cup that's come undone a couple times. Could blame that on my board being dirty though. Overall I'm happy with it.
