More fool me. It installs easily enough but then refuses to burn anything either saying the CDR is not compatible or just not acknowledging there is a disc in the driver. Well my new iMac tells me it cannot read the CD's inserted into this device. So it's definitely not plug and play. Hopefully the vender will answer my communication regarding the apparent incompatibility with MacOS and correct this issue.Followup: the vender acknowledged my communication with a promise to get back to me, which was not kept. I've noticed that other people have had the same issue. I've returned the item to Amazon.
